Can I do Provenge with Zytiga?
when I got my results from the PSA text on October 14 that shot up from 0.99 to 2.26 I switched from prednisone to
dexamethasone
. The PSA after that , 10 days later was 1.84. So is this significant?? Do I ditch zytiga or give it a little more time with
dexamethasone
?

Gabapentin & Low Platelets
The doctors are now checking me for everything (HIV, Leukemia, ITP and so on) and started me on
Dexamethasone
and Propranolol. Has anyone had or know of this happening? If so any information would be great. I have to do follow up labs in 2 days and next week.

Pelvic MRI on Thursday at MDA
This was accomplished by a combination of injections of Lupron every three months, two Zytiga daily, along with a daily dose of
Dexamethasone
. However my weight has increased by almost 45 pounds and I still have the same issues with my prostate as I did b4 I knew I had cancer.

Treating Itp with Herbal Supplements
Dexamethasone
and Eltrombopag also didn't take. The Doctor's want to try rituximab next and I'm a little bit leary of that one. Then of course, if that doesn't work, they'll want to take my spleen and I'm kind of attached to that organ. I'm not really willing to give it up.

Decision time on Tuesday morning after progression shown in scans
last month I thought with PSA jump from 45 to 57 that onc would change therapies, but he felt we could continue at that time with the zytiga/
dexamethasone
as Husband had only been on it for three weeks at that last appointment.

AC225 whilst Chemotherapy Naive
So my Father's PSA has risen whilst on Zytiga and after switching to
Dexamethasone
. Although that switch from Prednisone did it bring it down for two consecutive months. My father had a recent PSMA scan which shown multiple bone mets but shown the cancer does express PSMA.

Hiccups after chemotherapy
With it he had to take
dexamethasone
steroids and has had hiccups ever since. He had chemotherapy for 4 sessions at the end of last year and had hiccups but they went as soon as he finishes taking the steroids. These hiccups have now been going on for 6 days and they are really getting him down.

PSA down further and starting Docetaxel today
Could be the
dexamethasone
. Managed to get some rest and feeling fine. Oncologist has asked me to stop the Zytiga when I am going thru the docetaxel treatment. Just wanted to hear from anyone on what I should be expecting in the next couple of weeks before my next cycle.

A total of 37% (5 mg daily), 70% (5 mg twice daily), 60% (2.5 mg twice daily), and 70% (
dexamethasone
0.5 mg) of patients had no mineralocorticoid excess, and the level of urinary glucocorticoid metabolites appeared higher in patients with mineralocorticoid excess.

Please, help with cortisol
Hi everyone, I’ve just received lab results of low dose
Dexamethasone
suppression test Cortisol morning <0.03 (0.17-0.50) Doc said it is good(???). I guess it means that I don’t have high cortisol. How about low cortisol? I also tested privately vit D result 66 (65-225).

A possibly interesting publication revealing 10-fold increase in inflammatory molecule in microvascular angina patients.
The same publication also refers to
dexamethasone
as an IL-12 suppressor. - a particular conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) found in meat and dairy products. The molecule is cis-9, trans-11 isomer of conjugated linoleic acid (https://www.jimmunol.org/content/175/8/4990.short).

Steroids and Increased Heart Rate
I’m wondering if my increased heart rate may be connected with taking steroids (
dexamethasone
) which I’ve been on since mid April. My rheumatologist has made me ween myself off them over the past few weeks as he wanted to induce a flare of my Lupus, Sjorgren’s and other conditions.

I have also switched from 5mg prednisone to 0.5mg of
dexamethasone
to give my body a change. Have not noticed any significant differences since the switch.
