Hi everyone, I’ve just received lab results of low dose Dexamethasone suppression test
Cortisol morning <0.03 (0.17-0.50) Doc said it is good(???). I guess it means that I don’t have high cortisol. How about low cortisol? I also tested privately vit D result 66 (65-225). A while ago it was 95(50-150). I am still taking 2000IU/day, but I guess I have to start with loading doses all over again. Can the levels drop that fast and that much? I’ve ordered saliva test kit for cortisol and DHEA to get a better picture of my adrenals but, it will take a while for results to come back. Can I start using an adrenal support supplement based on the results from the my doc or wait for saliva test? Any input is appreciated.

The idea of the Dexamethasone test is to see if the Dex, which is a steroid, suppresses cortisol, I'm not used to those reference ranges but if your dr has said it's okay then you suppressed which means their is a much lower chance of you having Cushing's. That test won't tell you if you have low cortisol unless you know what the base level cortisol was. I wouldn't start any adrenal support until you know you actually need it, you could do more damage by doing so.
