Also lost my left hearing and took direct
dexamethasone
injections in my left inner ear. Now my doctor says he wants to give me Remicade infusion. Is that a treatment of GCA ? Isn't Actemra better for me ?

Promacta/Revolade not working now
:( I got
Dexamethasone
steroids for 4 days and that boosted up counts to 250k. First time in my life counts have gone above 100k so i was very happy. But within a week, count reduced to 50k. So Promacta is not at all working.!!

Hemotologist put me on
dexamethasone
4 day and count up to 120000. I then crashed to zero 3 days later. Did another 4 day pulse and went up to 36000 and crashed down to 5000 3 days later. Both crashes while off the

The drugs dont work..... Well prednisolone anyway
Btw I thought this was interesting reading, Prednisolone Vs
Dexamethasone
. It seems like
Dexamethasone
would have been a better choice from the start: http://www.bloodjournal.org/content/early/2015/10/16/blood-2015-07-659656?sso-checked=true

CRPC & Prednisolone or Dexamethasone. Neutrophil to Lymphocyte Ratio [NLR].
Seven of these patients (37%) achieved a PSA response to
dexamethasone
, which suggests a potential role for
dexamethasone
even after progression on prednisone therapy." The new study (U.K., Royal Marsden) involved "75 chemotherapy and abiraterone/enzalutamide-naive CRPC patients."

Asthma and sinus surgery
I had sinus surgery five weeks ago - polyps were removed and my turbinates were reduced as I was certain my sinus issues were making my asthma much worse - inhalers had little effect and it was course after course of prednisilone. Up to now I am cleaning my sinuses out with neil med and taking betamethasone

Advice for a new member please.
I am pleased to see
dexamethasone
suppression test was adequate suppression down to <30. The thyroid itself is goitrous and on recent ultrasound had increased vascularity.

Out of ideas
The brain mri came up clear, my
dexamethasone
test also came back normal but my saliva results are still coming back elevated at all points. The endo insisted I didn't have cushings based on appearance alone and had no other suggestions post testing.

MRI results
Prior to my daughter's MRI of her hips,
dexamethasone
was prescribed by her primary because her pain and swelling was worsening. Steroids worked. However, MRI showed negative for arthritis. She has multiple symptoms pointing to arthritis and I would like to know if
dexamethasone
can alter MRI scan.
