Confused and frustrated
I emailed my clinic to ask for clarification for the 20th of September when I am due to attend my baseline scan and start my stim protocol. Up till now I have injected 0.5ml/50iu Buserelin every morning. According to the timetable, I am due to reduce to 0.2ml/20iu dosage plus start the dexamethasone

Need help, I am very confused
I was diagnosed as GCA 5 months ago and was put on 80 mg prednisone. Then prednisone didn't work well for me and they put me on azathioprine 200 mg and methotrexate injections. Also they didn't work for me and still have severe temple and eye pain in addition to jaw and ear pain). During those 5 months

Promacta/Revolade not working now
Hi All, I had tried Revolade in India 4 yrs back once(for 15 days) and 2 yr back once(15 days). Both times, my count had raised to 50k first time and 80k 2nd time. In between every month I used to take 2-3 days during my periods. Now from past 15 days I have started taking Revolade and count has reduced

Good news sort of ,No evidence of any new cancers on CT scan ,heart tumour stable ,but might ask for an MRI later as CT scans aren't good for picking up cardiac changes .However I feel that my heart is a little more in rhythm now with meds. If I don't over do things physically I seem ok ,a hard one for

Asthma and sinus surgery
I had sinus surgery five weeks ago - polyps were removed and my turbinates were reduced as I was certain my sinus issues were making my asthma much worse - inhalers had little effect and it was course after course of prednisilone. Up to now I am cleaning my sinuses out with neil med and taking betamethasone

Things I've learned so far about getting through chemo
Here are a few things I've learned so far from going through 3 1/2 cycles of chemo. Feel free to add to this. Take the Dexamethasone or Prednisone steroid to help with side effects Try to keep something in your stomach which helps reduce the nausea Drink at least 5 glasses of water a day Get some light

Platelet drop while on steroids. Is this normal
Newly diagnosed ITP . Hemotologist put me on dexamethasone 4 day and count up to 120000. I then crashed to zero 3 days later. Did another 4 day pulse and went up to 36000 and crashed down to 5000 3 days later. Both crashes while off the dexamethasone. Hemotologist put me on 50 MG prednisone daily and

The drugs dont work..... Well prednisolone anyway
I went back to the Haematologist last week knowing things could only get worse, I felt great and had no symptoms (of ITP, thanks to prednisolone I'm writing this at 4:46am). Sure enough my count had dropped to 11 (from 25) and they were getting nervous. They did another blood test at the clinic (normally

CRPC & Prednisolone or Dexamethasone. Neutrophil to Lymphocyte Ratio [NLR].
New study below [1]. Prednisone/Prednisolone & Dexamethasone are corticosteroids - steroid hormones that "have been used in the therapy for castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) for decades, both as monotherapy and in combination with additional agents." [2] "... prednisone is distinctly different

My mum had Graves and had her gland removed and my sister had Hashi and also had her gland removed. I have suspected

Asthma Solution
Keeping with the normal dose of Prenisalone is helpful to keep asthma in control. But it would make you cramp to your hands and feet nervous systems. Especially when you take shower. Therefore I would recommend to take Dexamethasone instead of Prenisalone. Also Acintromycin would help

Out of ideas
I've been dealing with high cortisol for the several years (possibly more) and cannot seem to get it under control any means. My last salivary cortisol is the highest it's ever been (will list figures below) and my sleep is now seriously impaired. I'm sick of being told it's "stress", I'm unable to

MRI results
Prior to my daughter's MRI of her hips, dexamethasone was prescribed by her primary because her pain and swelling was worsening. Steroids worked. However, MRI showed negative for arthritis. She has multiple symptoms pointing to arthritis and I would like to know if dexamethasone can alter MRI scan.
