Palliative Care
Hello All. B went into hospital 9 days ago with groin pain. After several scans and lack of peg feeding for 33 hours, they decided not to operate on the two hernias that they had found. ( Our doctor had already found them by hand examination, 50 hours before they found them and after they did two scans

Switching from Prednisone to Hydrocortisone
I was diagnosed with PMR on December 2015 and started on 20mg of Prednisone. I have side effects of raised ocular pressure, osteopaenia, cararacts and jaw bone loss due to 1 Aclasta infusion. I am presently on 5 mg prednisone and am experiencing symptoms relating to low cortisone levels. I had a synacthen

Ventolin
Unfortunately, I ended up in A&E again last night, had to have nebs, hydrocortisone and magnesium again. The doctor told me to use my ventolin every four hours last night and today, every six hours tomorrow and then every eight on Sunday. He said this would help to stop my asthma from flaring up again

Radiation side effects...how long?
My last radiation treatment for TNBC was on April 19. Today, September 14, I am still having itching on my chest. This is the second time it's looked like an allergic reaction welts. I found benadryl helps and the cream they gave me better than a hydrocortisone cream. So how long does this go on? On

A&E trips
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I've had two A&E trips this week with my asthma, the last one resulted in four nebulisers, hydrocortisone IV and magnesium IV. My chest still feels tight, I can't get rid of the ache in my ribs and the cocktail of medications has left me feeling 'spaced

He's been medically fit for discharge for 3 weeks now, minor hiccup since then, my mum had a small heart attack, but she's ok now, out and at home and ready to have him home. So-called 'Palliative Care' is not all it's cracked up to be.
Morphine, Fentanyl, Ordine, Endone, and Panadol had absolutely no effect in reducing the pain of a tooth extraction which had me in a hospital bed for a week. The morphine dosages were usually 10mg, but on a couple of occasions it was 20mg ~ with zero effect. I have a few months to live as I have leukaemia

Palliative care
Hi all. Am I the only one under palliative care here? I think I'm going to go mad. It's on my mind since yesterday when I met with the team. Why do they want me to go see Milford , ( hospice ) Not sleeping again my mind is racing.

T3, how much
I telephoned IDIS, 01932 824100, suppliers of off licensed pharmaceuticals this morning. Whilst they couldn't speak to me as a non pharmacist or doctor I can confirm that they do supply most high street chemists. My local Boots said they don't deal with IDIS and quoted me £387 for 30 tabs. I just laughed
