Discomfort
Hi all. I'm getting discomfort in my upper abdomen. It's not pain exactly but it's uncomfortable. It's like IBS, which I suffer with, but can't take peppermint oil anymore. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal? It's not bloated like I had when I was diagnosed with cirrhosis. Apart from this

burning tongue
recently my usual anti inflammatory tablets were not available so they switched me to CELECOXIB. There is a side effect where you can get sores in your mouth. It did seem like I had small ulcers at tip of tongue but my whole mouth burned and the side of my tongue looked bumpy and swollen slightly.

Gasoline?
A question for anyone who has found an answer... From 2018, when diagnosed, I have been told by doctors, urologists and oncologists that; "Testosterone, in prostate cancer, is like gasoline on a fire!" When I first heard this it seemed dubious since what I "knew" about PCa was that young men with

PSA test
my husband had a PSA done and it raised from 0,5 to 0,7. He finished proton radiation las year January, the PSA went down to 0,5. is this normal, or should he take any action? He will be 81 years old this coming September, would it be okay to let it go. Has anybody have this experience? Thank you for

Pregabalin and Linaclotide
There's a bit out there in the posts but it would be good to hear from anyone with experience of either of these. GP can't prescribe me linaclotide: blocked due to a record of IBD (i.e. Crohn's that I have/had -no physical signs, long story). So I get the P and a followup visit to see if that works and

Hello, please see my profile for history on my dad's condition. He went to the ER this weekend with severe flank pain and CT revealed left-sided hydronephrosis as likely cystic soft tissue mass obstructing the left ureter. An anterograde stent was placed after failure of retrograde stent. The cancer

Greetings! My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in March 2021. ADT dropped the PSA quite a bit. We started seeing Dr. George at Duke March of 2023 and he had my husband on a round of docetaxel. After that the many bone mets and some on lungs 'disappeared'. Now it looks like they

Understand Your Blood Work
this is from a Canadian PBC Society PBC FACT SHEET (09/02/16) (may vary by lab) ALP Alkaline Phosphatase This enzyme occurs mainly in liver cells next to bile ducts, and in bone. The blood level is raised in PBC and is the main enzyme that is checked to see if you have a response to treatment

Retinal thickness predicts worsening of Parkinson’s disease

I Had A Stroke
Last week I had an ischemic stroke. It affected my right leg and right arm/hand. I woke up to a heavy arm and heavy leg but my face, smile, and speech were unaffected. It got progressively worse throughout the day and I went to the ER 9 hours after I woke up. I should have gone to the ER right after
