Endometriosis and adenomyosis
Hello everyone Please some one help me to figure out things if any of you have gone through the same things. I had a chronic pelvic pain and right side of my lower abdomen pain. I went to several GP appointments and finally got a referral to a gynecologist and they did a laparoscopy. Also sent my tissues

pain killers
I am now on 4 mg on a very slow taper and a low blow has knocked me sideways - sciatica /, sacroilliac origin of some form yet to be confirmed but agonising pain. I am aware of the non compatibility of some pain killers but I can't sleep or walk with this pain. What is the strongest one advisable? Yes

The Differential Diagnosis of Discrepant Thyroid Function Tests: Insistent Pitfalls & Updated Flow-Chart Based on a Long-Standing Experience
We often see members posting results which, at least initially, are odd and maybe make little sense. This paper recognises and discusses such test results. Quite long and takes some effort to read - but worth it if you are interested. [i]

My story- thanks for listening, understanding & caring
Hi everyone- I haven't written for a long time but feel the need to do so today. 4 years ago on 14/4/2020 my life changed forever as I was diagnosed with GCA. I hadn't been feeling well for some time and despite repeated trips to the GP with the symptoms I now understand constitute GCA, was not diagnosed

salvage radiation after surgery?
Hi - Shouldn’t I be doing salvage radiation or chemotherapy now? I had my surgery February 25 and Doctor wants to wait for first PSA iat end of May. However surgical pathology showed negative margins but showed intraductal, cribriform, loss of PTEN. and PNI. Even though there was no EPE, no SVI, No LVI

Anxious over Gyno call
Following my previous post, I have large endometrioma cysts on both sides and my ca 125 test came back sky high so my doctor did the 2 week urgent referral for gyno cancer to the hospital last week - she did say the ca 125 is likely because of the endometriosis but they have to refer to rule other stuff

Loosing hope
Hi everyone - sorry, this is a long one! Grab a brew… Our first IVF round failed in February and we didn’t get any in the freezer. My OH’s semen analysis was really positive, so the focus has been on me with my low AMH levels, previous ovarian surgery and age (38). We only got 2 eggs, both fertilised

hey everyone! I’ve been dealing with anal fissures on and off ever since giving birth back in 2016. I used to be able to go months and months before having a retear. Then I started noticing I’d tear around my period. Then in 2023 I stopped working out and I noticed I got fissures every month!!! It’s

Baffling results on T4&T3!
Morning all, I’m awake early feeling like total rubbish so thought I’d jump on and share in the hope that someone can shed light on my baffling blood test results which came through on Friday! I’ve been on 75mcg Levothyroxine and 15mcg T3 for the last 6 weeks (having slowly increased T3 from nothing

coil advice
hi there I have hormonal migraines, which are worsening as I go through peri menopause. I am hoping that the mirena coil could help by possibly reducing or stopping my periods (when my headaches are at their worst) One attempt to insert the coil at my GP surgery was traumatic and unsuccessful. I hoped

T4 how long it lasts in the body 🤔
Hi everyone ❤️ Quick question, I started on T4 vencamil 12 mg on Monday afternoon (8th April) took Tuesday, Wednesday, dose 12mg then found out gp botched the thyroid bloods 😡 I posted the whole saga, so not going to get into that. So how long will these 3 days of T4 12mg take to leave my system?

Has my PMR Gone?
Hello friends, I haven't posted for some time now partly because I've been feeling very depressed on account of my worsening health and my GP has prescribed Mirtazapine to be taken every night before bed. I've been on them for a few months now but can't say in all honesty that I am feeling any better

Returning to Warfarin after 4 months on Edoxaban ...... part 2
I posted on here my original comments on this subject. Hopefully, this update, will be of interest. I made the decision to quit Edoxaban on 6 April. I didn't /couldn't be bothered to make contact with my GP, whenever I phone up for a chat I'm asked to make an appointment which usually is about 10 days
