Hi, my Dad was diagnosed back in 2021 with stage IV, Gleason 9, oligometastatic. He had 6 weeks of radiation at the time of diagnosis and has been for the past 2.5 years on Abiraterone, Prednisone and Lupron. As I mentioned in my prior post my Dad’s PSA started going up. He had a PSMA Pet scan and it

no cure
I’m pleased to see the post telling everyone about ‘how their endometriosis was cured’ has been taken down. There is NO CURE! Even if you have all diseased tissue removed you still have the disease. Some are lucky and don’t get a reoccurrence of the diseased tissue but for most the disease comes back

Contact lenses after Paul implant
Hello all, Just wanted to ask about your experience with contact lenses after Paul implant (or any alternative drainage device). How soon were you able to resume wearing your lenses after the surgery? Did you encounter any complications? Did you have had to switch from soft to rigid contact lenses

Having a STEMI in mid 40's...the search for underlying causes / answers for premature CHD.
Hi Everyone, My husband had a major STEMI in March 2023 with a full blockage of his circumflex artery. He was 44 years old and playing 5-a-side football in a local sports centre when he collapsed without warning. Thank goodness it happened there of all places however, as the swift actions of his team

Recently diagnosed
Hi - This is my first post - I was only recently diagnosed with scleroderma after what feels like an eternity of basically figuring out and chasing most of it myself. I had no medical issues at all 2 years ago and then bang - I feel like I've turned into some kind of mad hypochondriac. The frustration

ICU Stay Neuro Challenges
Seeing if anyone has any insight. On May 16th my mom (62 years old) went to her cardiologist with chest pain. She did have afib for the last three year but she had that under control. When she went to her cardiologist on the 16th he sent her to the ER just because he was concerned with chest pains

Hello, I'm 71 and had a fall about 8 weeks ago. I thought it was just a sprain but a blood clot developed in my leg and I was put on Apixaban. My foot, around the big toe area and bunion was sore and swollen and I had a lot of difficulty walking. After about a month I went to see my GP who took a look

Periods after surgery
Hi ladies, I had surgery in September to remove chocolate cysts and endo tissue but for various reasons they didn’t remove all the endo. Before my surgery, my periods were regular – every for weeks. But afterwards the surgeon wanted to stop them to help with the endo and try to prevent future cysts

Hi All- a couple of weeks ago, I posted on here for the first time on behalf of my husband. Everyone was very reassuring and helpful. It turned out that my husband still had a 'collection' in his lower bowel which had become infected and the hospital put him on a course of antibiotics. He is now

Tumeric/circumin
Good morning to you all. I wonder if anyone can help with my query. I saw professor Harrison two weeks ago and among things discussed was joint and bone pain. I'm on hydroxy with one 75mg aspirin per day. She mentioned tumeric/circumin that some people find it very helpful and I asked if it was OK
