My brother as a cancer warrior
He is only 12. And been through a lot. Needles poking into his body every now and then, various tubes and cannula in his vicinity. Just as the chemo drugs effect reduces another chemo is due. He is constantly tired and ill. And suffers, literally suffers from a cancer with no known cause. That should

Heartbroken
So today we had to bring our 7 year old beautiful Maine Coon Bella to the vet because we thought she was having dental problems. We were told that it looks like oral cancer and we want to see a specialist as soon as possible and they would need to take half of her jaw out at least and I'm so torn whether

Week 5, runs 1 and 2. A jog is still a run
Three weeks ago I was on week 4, so I should be on week 7 by now.. but I’m still on week 5..🙄😩 After wk5 run1, my kids and their families came to stay. Priority became cleaning, bedmaking, shopping, then they were here, and it was cooking, more cleaning and fun walks and visits to the beach and fairy

Heartbroken
Well today I found out that my 7-year-old sweet Maine Coon Bella most likely has oral cancer my heart is absolutely breaking. We have to take her to a specialist to make sure that is the case but either way she would need surgery that would take part of her jaw. In addition to that I had a wonderful

Update on Dan
I've been up the hospital since 10, I've only popped home for a shower and some food. The surgery went well but during the night Dan had a couple of seizures (apparently it's a risk after a craniotomy) but he is on medication and responding well. Me and his Dad went up to visit him and spoke to one

This is a loong story but I will try to date each lap for context:2011 - diagnostic non specialist 2013 - 6 hr excision non specialist June 2016 - due for excision with specialist but they ran out of time so turned into diagnostic. He assured my there was no bowel endo and that he checked thoroughly

Adenomyosis advice
Hi all, I was diagnosed with endo after a laparoscopy in 2022, and about 2 months after the surgery I started to suffer from pelvic pain and lower back pain, which I have never had before and it didn't seem to be linked to any injury etc. I wanted to share what happened next in case it's useful for

Low eye pressure
I have Normal Tension Glaucoma and had a Deep Scleretomy operation on my right eye 18 months ago ( I believe this is a similar operation to a trab, the aim being to lower the pressure) and I have a bleb under my eyelid. Immediately after surgery the pressure dropped to 3 but gradually over eight months

After ADT
Adrenal insufficiency after stopping ADT & steroids. My 72 year old husband had radical, robotic surgery 7 years ago. PSAs were 0 until 2 years ago, then barely detectable. Had the special PET scan, 3 spots lit up in lymph nodes, (in the area, none remote.) Had 6.5 weeks radiation therapy. Had 2 years

Rheumatologist advices no reduction of prednisolone while adrenal glands not working and has issued emergency hydrocortisone kit
I've had PMR since October 2020 and managed to get down to 2.5mg of prednisolone in February 2023. But after a flare, I had to raise it to 5mg and have been pain-free since then. I started on methotrexate weekly injections (15mg) in December 2023, with the hope of being able to reduce the prednisolone

Open heart surgery for ASD CLOSE
To everyone who has given me advice, I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for all the guidance and support you’ve offered since my open-heart surgery in April 2014 for ASD closure. Your insights and encouragement mean a lot to me, especially as I navigate the challenges I've faced

looking for post surgery pregnancy positivity!
hello endo ladies. I just found out I am 4 week plus 4 days pregnancy after my laparoscopy 8 weeks ago. I had right tube removed, several masses from my right ovary and my left ovary “unstuck” from back of my uterus. Also had work done on bowel, rectum and pouch. Stage 4 basically. I’m in an absolute

I stopped Prostap, started the mini pill but I keep bleeding.
Hi,I'm stage 4 endometriosis, with 3 cysts measuring around 18x18x18cm in total. Tethered to my bowl, colon and bladder and i am now awaiting surgery. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had issues with bleeding after coming off Prostap? I had the Prostap injection for one month, alongside Tibolone
