Update on Dan

I've been up the hospital since 10, I've only popped home for a shower and some food.

The surgery went well but during the night Dan had a couple of seizures (apparently it's a risk after a craniotomy) but he is on medication and responding well.

Me and his Dad went up to visit him and spoke to one of the doctors. Dan was awake and talking when we arrived although he was very sleepy. I'm back now but Dan says I need to go home and rest

He has had an ECG and checked his BP where is it slightly raised but let's be honest if is had surgery on my brain my BP would be high, the ECG seems to be okay, they are hoping to do another CT scan in a few days and remove the drainage tube from his head. The doctors have said hopefully home in a week. But we'll see.

Olive is kicking away on my bladder so the stress hasn't effected her too much.

Glad to hear Dan's ok - my BP would be up and my brain would have the odd seizure after what his has been through. Take care of yourself and Olive as Dan will need some TLC when he's home

Glad to hear the surgery went well, hopefully things in this post op period will settle soon and that he'll be up and about again before you know it. Understandable that you want to be at the hospital, but make sure you take care of yourself and Olive too and rest when you can.
