Clear Point Surgery
After explaining the research we've done on why I want the Clearpoint Surgery ~ it takes half the time of
DBS
, half the cost of
DBS
, less invasive, and you are asleep for the procedure ~ shocked to find out they knew nothing about it.

Just one of those days
Maybe I should adjust my
DBS
? I wish there was a "fix it and make it all better" button I could push!

DBS and car accident
I had a very successful
DBS
Surgery in June. Many if my symptoms were curtailed. On Jan 16 an SUV pulled out in front of us. My wife was driving a 1997 Geo Metri. We were going 35 mph and did not have time to stop. Both air bags deployed.

Deep Brain Surgery for R.L.S.
Do any of the administrators or members know if Doctors are considering D.B.S yet for R.L.S? I bullied my Doctor into giving me a referral 12 mths ago but at the time it was thought that there was not enough information regarding the part of the brain to be worked on and a bit risky if it would work

I have been diagnosed with NAFLD. Could this have been caused due to me taking Amitryptaline as a sleeping pill for the last few years.
I have felt recently that the Amitryptaline has not been as effective as I am not sleeping well again and I am thinking of stopping taking these. I looked up what the effects of using Amitryptaline could be and it pointed to some sort of Hepatic side effects. Elevated liver function tests, drug-induced

Is DBS the miracle they say it is?
I've seen so many videos of people that have had
DBS
and it doesn't look like the cure-all they claim it to be. Most of the patients look like they've had a stroke or a slowness of reaction in mind and body. Why is there not more information on what can go wrong? OR am I expecting too much?

Mirena coil not working as well as before in controlling pain?
Hi all, I found this site when searching how long lasting the Mirena is, as I am suffering from the return of endo pain after my third year of having it. I'm wondering if its because it needs replacing, or is it that my body is fighting the affects of it and the endo is taking over in a sense? I'm hoping

Anyone trying LDN or interested in it?
DBS
or continue to steadily decline as the condition progresses and the side effects of levodopa even compounds the problems you are asking it to deal with! I have seen this time coming for a while now and carried out a good deal of research.

DBS
is different for all PD sufferers. .IT IS A VERY LONG SLOW PROCESS. If you are thinking of doing
DBS
remember this before you can say, "I have my life back! " like some of these very blessed people we read about on their posts about
