My Nuro is recommending bilateral
DBS
For this condition. Only problem is we don’t know if it’s going to take care of the problem.

New Boston Scientific DBS machine, anyone tried it?
I've been doing research on the BOSTON SCIENTIFIC
DBS
machine. 400 people in the US have gotten it installed since Jan. 2018. 4000 in Europe. It sounds pretty interesting - less side effects. I'm a bit scared to get it done. Hoping someone out there has had experience with it.

Bad Role Model
I’m finally turning to
DBS
in a clinical trial in hopes to ease my depression once and for all. But I mean, what helpful advice can I offer a child or her terribly worried parents?

DBS SURGERY
i am now celebrating six months since my
DBS
surgery. This surgery for me has truly been a gift of life renewed. If you are thinking about exploring this option and would like to hear more about it or have specific fears or questions, I would love to help.

Holiday concerns
Hello All, i am new here and I am after a little adviceplease. I have been eating flaxseed everyday for the last 7 weeks and after suffering years of constipation have finally got my bowels into regular rhythm.... each week just gets better and better! I also eat a good amount of fruits and vegetables

Wow, this Inversion Table is interesting! New member here!
Had
DBS
surgery in 2016 and it was literally a Godsend! Totally eliminated the hand tremors which had become significant! Hit the gym EVERY morning 7 days a week with emphasis on cardio-vascular! Now my problem is "freezing of gate."

New Guy on the Block
I underwent an evaluation for the suitability for
DBS
at the Shands hospital in Gainesville, where after 2 days of exams of all types I got my diploma. Now what??? I was told that
DBS
will usually help symptoms that Sinemet helps.

Bilateral ECT & DBS
Has anyone had
DBS
, or ECT that they noticed mild personality and comprehension changes with? It helps my symptoms otherwise, but it feels like such a high cost to feel better.

Emerging Innovations in Parkinson Disease Treatment: Q&A With Dr Matthew Brodsky
Most innovation has focused on improvements in equipment in deep brain stimulation (
DBS
), but changes to current
DBS
procedures may also be on the horizon as new evidence suggests approaches with better outcomes. https://www.neurologyadvisor.com/movement-disorders/parkinson-disease-treatment-advancements-matthew-brodsky-interview

Has anyone undergone
DBS
?I'm being offered that as a solution to taking too much Sinemet to control my tremors (1800 mg per day).

Mom of triplets, spouse with Parkinson’s
I finally convinced him to get the
DBS
.. by the time he agreed, the doctor said it was almost too late. He didn’t qualify for the study because his neuro testing revealed he has 1 percentile visual memory. After both surgeries in 2016, it was much better regarding not freezing.

Brain Death and recovery with Deep Brain Stimulation
In March 1983 I was a victim of a Hit and deny responsibility attack by an insane motorist who was driving way too fast. My brain apparently had died and the NHS staff at Plymouth Freedom Fields hospital were about to turn off the life support machine. Only thanks to the intervention of my loving parents
