Effect of exercise on thyroid blood tests?
Just wondering, what effect have people noticed on their blood tests if exercising the day before/same day/other time? SlowDragon has previously shared that the ideal time for thyroid blood tests is just before 9am, and I'm wondering if exercising should also be taken into account? https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Glenmark Levothyroxine
Whilst we saw their levothyroxine withdrawn last year, I just saw something that made me wonder if it is coming back. The dm+d is a database of all medicines. Much else in the NHS uses the dm+d data as a starting point. It is a legal requirement for new medicines to be added to dm+d within something

Need faster research on Neuro-modulation
I attended 2 various zoom meets of Vibratory Neuro-modulation . In UK they have a CUE1 available at less than 500 dollars that is showing some amazing strides for some people. Then I watched a zoom with Dr Peter Tass who is a researcher involved with the amazing Vibratory Gloves. My wife was a participant

Help please to understand my recent tests and what supplements I should be taking.
Recent blood tests following increase 8 weeks ago of levothyroxine to 100mcg daily from 100mcg 3 x a week, 50mcg 4 x a week. Could someone please help me to determine what supplements I should be taking. GP has suggested 1000 units of Vit d. I think my ferritin and possibly folate looks low also.

Are my iron levels ok?
Hi. At last I have managed to get a blood test done for iron levels. Could you, Sue Johnson, please comment on them? I feel the ferritin is quite high, which should be good, but am not sure about the other results. Ferritin: 176.5. Ug/ L 10.0-291.0 Serum Iron 16.1. Umol/L. 9.0-30.4 Transferrin

Hello all, I'm new to this group, I have autoimmune thyroid disease, but along with it have been looking at sorting out my iron and B12, so would like to share this here, apologies for the long post... B12 levels and hypothyroidism
This is a useful paper showing low B12 is associated with hypothyroidism. Another paper indicating vitamin deficiency that needs treating. And that GP's should know about it. SYSTEMATIC REVIEW Front. Endocrinol., 22 February 2023 Sec. Thyroid Endocrinology Volume 14 - 2023 | https://doi.org/10.3389

Anemia of Chronic Disease
My recent CBC yielded numbers that suggested I am anemic. My iron levels are normal and my B12 is also normal, albeit in the low range of normal. I was told that I have anemia of chronic disease caused by my thyroid condition (low functioning thyoid, maybe Hashimoto's). Anyone else have experience

Request for more levothyroxine following results from Medichecks
Hi all, I’m very upset as had a conversation ( more like a shouting match to be honest) with GP who is insistent that he won’t prescribe more levothyroxine as I’m within range ( after him asking me to send a copy of my medichecks results) because on my request I stated that I should be prescribed iron

Test results - could someone help please?
Hi! My thyroid is well replaced, but I have been feeling so tired and achy, so I asked my GP to test vitamins. She said all is well. I'm gutted because I feel TERRIBLE. What do you think to these results? Serum Ferritin: 29 (r 20-204) Serum Iron Level: 11.7 (r4.4-27.9) Serum Transferrin: 2.63 (r

MDD Suffers: Avolition
I wish I knew this when I was suffering from MDD so I wanted to share. There is a clinical reason why you “can’t” do things. I knew I was supposed to excercise or walk my dog I just couldn’t do it. Which made me feel worse about myself when I chose to islolate instead. Before my DBS surgery I was talking

Rytary and Deep Brain Stimulation
my husband has been taking Rytary for a year. We noticed his veins get large and tingle which he says at time hurts. It gives him a terrible headache more then the the plain C/L. The Dr wants him to consider DBS now . He said it has benefits but won’t last forever then back to square one. He doesn’

All MDD Patients There Is HOPE: Watch this
I have been through it all with MDD. I can relate to every post in here. I was treatment resistant for a decade. I got Deep brain stimulation surgery last year and am in remission from depression. I would guess it’s FDA approved within a couple of years. The options now if nothing works is to suffer
