Confusing iron panel results
Hi, guys, I'd like to ask for help interpreting my iron panel results. First of all, let me say that this is the first time ever that I have had these tests done, so I don't have anything to compare with. This is what the results look like: Hemoglobin: 155 g/l (reference range: 120 - 160 g/l) Serum

Low iron test results and a way forward please
I had some blood tests recently and am wanting advice on a way forward, please. My serum iron level and my transferrin saturation index are both below the minimum level on the reference ranges. My serum ferritin is only just above the minimum on the reference range. I am struggling with symptoms I remember

Anyone know anything about ferritin and trans ferritin saturation levels?
OK so I got some results back re iron and B12 and would so appreciate some expert understanding from anyone of you. I believe I might have lowish ferritin. It's 39ug but my transferritin saturation is 52%, which is high. How do I increase my iron levels if I need to, with high transferritin saturation

Help with iron results - follow up from 3 arrows nutra
Hi everyone, I did an iron panel and I’m quite amazed with my ferritin level. I have been lax with my iron supps since going to T3 only and thought I would definitely have ranked my previously low results. To my disbelief, my ferritin is the highest I’ve ever seen it! I was previously taking the 3 arrows

My body did not get the memo.
I accept that a test had been done measuring the amount of Hydroxocobalamin and Cynocabalamin that can be measured in the urine at different times after the injection and that the numbers are likely repeatable. I do not know if any testing was done on a subject that was B12 deficient. I find it unlikely

Mayo Clinic studies B12 def, are very interesting!!
Check these studies out! I printed a few copies for my medical practice Abstract Although cobalamin (vitamin B12) deficiency was described over a century ago, it is still difficult to establish the correct diagnosis and prescribe the right treatment. Symptoms related to vitamin B12 deficiency may

Milestones.
Seems to me that my milestones associated with my cobalamin issues tend to be known to me only in hindsight. I thought about it and came to understand that is the way most milestones actually happen and it is only in hindsight and my narrative of the past that milestones become apparent. I need to

HI Everyone (Especially Slow Dragon) I have just returned from a Dr's appointment as he wanted to discuss my thyroid results, (see previous posts, TSH 0.03. He has reduced dose from 100/75 to 75 and said that I can take Iron pills for extreme tiredness even though my iron levels are fine, but my ferritin

Very low ferritin with top of range haemoglobin can you then safely supplement iron to get ferritin up?
hi last iron haemoglobin was 15.7 top range of 15 and ferritin was 22 (as usual although that’s quite good for me! Range 15- 200(?)). I was beginning to get that rubbish short of breath way I do when ferritin goes very low (been at 3 few years ago). TSH was jumping about a bit and I don’t have other

Ferrous Fumerate and pre-existing Reflux
Any tips on how to take ferrous ferritin when you are already prone to reflux (for which I take a PPI)? My guts have just about put up with FF since December, and it has greatly improved my RLS, but increasingly given I take it at night it’s caused bad reflux and I had a massive flare recently during

Influences of sleep and the circadian rhythm on iron-status indices
I suspect few, if any, of us have ever really thought about iron tests varying by time of day. However much we understand with regard to thyroid, somehow I think most of us imagine iron as being more "bucket chemistry". But this paper might force us to re-assess! [i]

Active b12 result
Hello, so gp did my serum b12 which was 206 a few weeks ago and said he wasn't worried. I am worried because I have lots of symptoms and had a b12 deficiency a few years ago so I paid to get an active b12 test done privately (UK). Result is 47 pmol/mol. It says the cut off for a deficiency is 38, so
