Dr's Appointment

HI Everyone (Especially Slow Dragon) I have just returned from a Dr's appointment as he wanted to discuss my thyroid results, (see previous posts, TSH 0.03. He has reduced dose from 100/75 to 75 and said that I can take Iron pills for extreme tiredness even though my iron levels are fine, but my ferritin is low. I would appreciate your opinions on this as I thought you shouldn't take Iron in this case 🤔

Too long to wait

You need to test vitamins yourself now

Thyroid levels should always be retested 8-10 weeks after any dose change

Sorry to jump in, but I thought the standard advice on forum was 6-8 weeks. This is the first time I’ve seen 8-10 weeks mentioned since I’ve joined. What am I not getting?

I am querying this as just earlier I posted about and got this response healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

All such a maze.

When first starting on levothyroxine and increasing upwards testing every 6-8 weeks (NHS says at least 2 months)

When fine tuning dose ….and especially after any dose reduction wait longer……8-10 weeks

Personally i try to wait 8-12 weeks as discussed in this post earlier today
