Herbal first aid.
Herbalists often combine barberry, turmeric,
dandelion
, celandine, goldenseal, gentian, chiretta, and/or neem in “bitter” formulas. These herbs are best taken in small doses as tea or diluted extracts 20 to 30 minutes before a meal to support liver function, detoxification, and digestion.

I can drink
dandelion
tea and coffee that I thought might be good but have read it's not good if you have PBC. I suffer from extreme bloating and spasm like pain when I eat or drink, worse in the evenings.

Supplements
About two years ago I took a
dandelion
and artichoke capsule (on her recommendation) about the same time my itch went into overdrive but I was also going through a very stressful time and I had put the itch down to stress rather than the supplement.

Big Prams And Plump Babies...
We waited by the level crossing for a train to go racing past...stood by field gates admiring the cows who leaned over and slobbered...patted horses noses and said hello to passing dogs...oooed and ahhed over pussy cats sitting on windowsills...we picked
dandelion
heads and blew the fairies away...

While I was in the farmers store this morning, befuddled over emulsion paint, Neil Young came on over the tape thing they play...he was singing Harvest Moon which I hadn't heard in the longest time...it's a sweet gentle song about falling in love...no raucous noise or shouting. Just a man singing about

Spring Is Surely On It's Way...
If I was to spend less time on the Internet poking my nose into interesting sites, I'd have finished the blanket I'm crocheting and be half way through the next one... Mind you I did venture into the front garden today...not for long. Just to top the bird feeders up...we have two hanging in front of
