i'm curious to know what other people's experiences with AST levels are, as i've read PubMed articles saying that upon DX many people already have elevated levels, and those who do not, eventually do. i am undertaking a diet change in hopes to help and starting milk thistle supplements, drinking dandelion

I have heard that various things can help the liver, milk thistle, artichoke, dandelion etc. Is there any merit in any of these. I do not drink a lot but the occasional drink would be nice etc.

Some of the threads about swollen ankles suggest using dandelion tea as a diuretic. On the other hand we are not supposed to drink coffee because it is diuretic and we need to stay hydrated. Can anyone explain why one is okay and the other not?
