Danazol

I know my endo isnt good at the mo and need treatment but my only two options are another lap/danazol. Had both before and cannot face a sixth lap. Just wondered how many suffer migraine with endo. Thanks. Its getting me down.

Hi ladies, I have just got back from my gynae appointment and have been prescribed danazol after finishing zoladex in April. There was no other treatment options she could think of but having read the side effects I'm quite scared to take it and I'm considering switching to another gynae.

The gynaocologist has now prescribed me with Danazol as the next step. But having read about the side effects am really scared!!! Am also due to run a marathon in 3 weeks time and scared of messing around with my hormones..

I have tried Danazol, POP, BCP and mirena three times (I had my third one inserted 6 weeks ago) I am 43. I have a leaking chocolate cyst, Endo in my POD, on my ligaments. My right ovary is stuck to my uterus and bowel and my left ovary is stuck behind my uterus.

Has anyone been put on Danazol to treat their endometriosis? I have previously tried the pill and norethisterone with no luck. Yesterday I was given a presciption for Danazol as apparently I am running out of things to try, I was also given Mefenamic Acid for the period pain as well.

Hi guys i am suffereing from horrendous mouth ulcer / toothache. I have been to the dentist and have been prescribed a steriod tablet that dissolves in the mouth. along with using bonjela & panadol. Feeling really cheesed off, had gradually come down from 60 mg daily and had reached 30 and then was to go to 20. Got headaches, not as bad as when GCA diagnosed but quite bad and unrelieved by Panadol. So spoke to my GP who suggested 25 mg for a week and then down to 20mg again yesterday. Headaches

I've been on various steroids, ivig, rituxan, danazol, and am now approaching the highest dose of nplate, with counts stil hovering at 10 and below, but am not anxious to lose my little spleenette if it's not likely to help.

I was then moved onto provera and after 4wks and being in constant pain my gynae said i need to try danazol as its really good and not many suffer side effects. Ive bn on danazol nearly 2wks and had horrible side effects again and ive had enough.

Has anyone been on danazol? Or have any information about it? I have read up on it and now know its a male hormone and im terrified to use it.

Now after the op they have put me on Danazol 3 times a day to clear the rest of the endo and stop my periods. I am now on the my 3rd period and I am wondering how long other ladies had to wait before theirs stopped.
