This gut/brain axis paper offers food therapies
Section 5.1. discusses food intervention. It’s a long paper and while much of it is above my pay grade, I thought it a good paper and more heavily referenced than any other I’ve read. It doesn’t talk about lectins, but Dr. Grundy does. http://gundrymd.com/reduce-lectins-diet/ I’ve read his book, The

Think I might be infertile
Hi there, Me and my partner have been TTC for 6 months. I know it's not that long in the scheme of things. However I have this horrible gut feeling there's something wrong and I'll need intervention. I have heavy periods with clots and they can be very painful. However they're very regular, every 26

High Fibre in the diet
I struggle to include the 30g of fibre that we are advised to eat daily. Last night I watched 'Food Unwrapped' where they filmed the Hadza tribe in Tanzania. These people apparently have 40% more good bacteria in their gut than the rest of the world because they consume on average, 150g of fibre!

Rethink Vitamin C (we need all the help we can get)

New blood results look fine (I think). Could someone advise on supplements for the lingering symptoms and anything to help with antibodies?
Hi everyone, I am on 50mcg levothyroxine for hypothyroidism. This was prescribed at a point where I had a whole page of symptoms but TSH<10 so had to fight for this. From research I know I have Hashimotos. I was fortunate that many of the symptoms improved when strating medication but it has been nearly

I am really struggling to find what the problem is with my daughter. She is exhausted all the time and has to sleep so much that her quality of life is severely affected. She is on B12 injections and supplements Folate, Ferritin, D3. She is negative for h-pylori and the cortisol tests weren't that bad

NDT should I increase dose or wait?
Hi Happy New Year to all and thank you to everyone on this site who have given their time selflessly to help people, like me, who are struggling to understand their condition. I am now on NDT and feel a lot better than a year ago. I've now managed to increase my Naturethroid to 2 grains taken x3 through

Lemons?
So I wish you all the finest of the future (it's still 2017 here), but would like to begin the year with some readings I've read on lemons. Yes, they are good for anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, and if so, why not emphy? Not the whole lemon, but specifically the rinds. The act of freezing whole

Possible CNS vasculitis
Dear All, I’m still struggling for a diagnosis. On Friday, Jan 12, I had a lumbar puncture. My glucose and protein levels were normal, but am waiting for full results (oligoclonal bands). They’re also looking for MS or Lymes. As I stated in a previous post, several months ago I tested positive for

For those who take NDT - what dose are you taking?
Good evening on New Year's Eve :-) I haven't posted here for a while, but thought I'd pop in and say hello and also to say a very big thank you to those who run the forum for their time and effort. I just thought I'd leave this (multi part!) question here. I'm just wondering for those who are taking

Amino Acid Protocol and Nausea
Happy New Year, I am writing to see if anyone has advice regarding my mom's nausea on the amino acid protocol. She had been doing well on the Mucuna pruriens at lower doses, no nausea in particular. Her movements seem to have improved, and she's been hiking and walking around a zoo, etc. this holiday
