News that worried us and studies that gave us hope (04/2022).
This is the information that gave us hope while my father was alive and has given hope to many since then (March 2012). 1. News that worried us. In the coming decades the number of Parkinson's disease patients is feared to increase very worryingly, to double by 2030 (Dorsey 2007) and even to triple

Nightly afib!
Well, despite trying everything from magnesium taurate to arginine, vitamin C and D and everything in between. I still get nightly episodes of afib that wake me usually between tow to three hours after going to bed! I can always self terminate these episodes using a variety of vagal manoeuvres but I’

The preventive power of vitamin C against numerous diseases, including Parkinson's disease.
Numerous studies point the way to preventing and tackling some of the most serious diseases. I have copied these two tables on the power of vitamin C. Imagine it in combination with other vitamins and nutrients. 1. SHOCKING STUDIES ON VITAMIN C. HELLENBRAND (1996) - diet rich in vitamin C - 40% less

Seeking a natural cure for prostate cancer.
I am a 70 y/o , diagnosed with Intermediate Grade Prostate Cancer in April 2021. Biopsy showed one Gleason 8 (4+4), one 7 (4+3) and the rest were mostly 6 s and 7s (3+4). After much reading I opted to go the natural healing route; I spent two weeks in Baja Mexico doing modified Gerson Therapy

Vitamin D and IBS D
Has anyone had issues taking Vitamin D? Living in Manitoba we do not get very much sunlight in winter and so I decided to take some Vitamin D. My IBS D (which had been very good for a few months) went into a total flare up and now trying to settle it down and have stopped taking it. This had happened

Dehydroascorbic acid: Could orange juice oxidised in the fridge overnight be an important weapon against Parkinson's?
Dehydroascorbic acid is the oxidised and reversible form of ascorbic acid or vitamin C. It can protect the brain and reduce stroke mortality, due to its ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, whereas vitamin C or ascorbic acid cannot easily do so. In one study it was proposed as a possible treatment

The end of Parkinson's as we know it today. From the Levodopa era to the "transformative" information era.
1. History and Time. As a vocational and professional historian, I have contemplated the world of Parkinson's for many years. The changes over time in the way the disease is viewed, the possible treatments and everything that makes up the world of Parkinson's (multinationals, neurologists, associations

Supplements
Reviewing what I take. I mainly go by blood results. Vit d dropped to 52 . I asked the Gp about thus as in the past have had prescribed loading doses. I was taking 1000iu a day.The Gp said 'in range ' the form clearly says out of range ?? Didn't press him on this as the focus was on keeping 2 weekly

New study from the CAPS2 (Carbohydrate and Prostate Study 2) team. led by Steve Freedland. "Accumulating evidence suggest a role of gut microbiota in urologic health including prostate cancer (PC), potentially via its impact on intestinal permeability (IP). When the gut microbiota community is disrupted

To biopsy or to not
Received my 2nd opinion today. Gastro but MD, he said pretty much as last gastro assistant. He said he doesn't do fiberscans, he does blood test and biopsy. He said that because my blood test say F3 but scan says "probable" F4 isn't acceptable by him, he would want to know which. Altho you would eat

Lithium Orotate for Depression and more?
Lithium Orotate for Depression and more? So I was watching this video on lithium orotate (still looking to get past my depression) and was amazed at the way he says lithium works in the brain. Lithium clears glutamate? Anybody up for lowering inflammation? Boosting neuroplasticity? And then he starts

CHAPTER 7. CASES OF POSSIBLE HEALING AND SELF-HEALING. "Tell sick people who they have no hope (or let them find out through their families) and the will to live will be paralysed. Show them a way out, tear them away from fear and hysteria, give them even a small hope and the will to live will be stimulated

Private GP? Can they help?
Hi all, I have ordered a private blood tests this morning thanks to this group. Long story short I’m on 75mg of LEVO and have been for 6 years. I have been working with a PT on a calorie controlled gluten free diet for over 6 weeks with little results. The PT suggested I looked into T3 conversation
