How on Earth did I get here?
I saw a specialist who looked at my results and suggested a back problem but referred me for a
cystoscopy
to check the inside of the bladder before discharging me.

Persistent psa
An mri showed a nodule at the bladder neck and a
cystoscopy
confirmed it was benign prostatic tissue. Since then psa has bounced up and down ranging between .31 and .64 with no way of knowing if the psa is from the benign prostatic tissue or cancer or both .

Positive ANA speckled test - MCAS
I had a
cystoscopy
which showed biofilm in the bladder. I also have gastro issues and sensitivity to food - MCAS diet didn’t help at all. I have an inhaler also but lungs are broadly okay. I also have muscle pain but pregabalin (Gabapentinoid) and some light stretching / walking has really helped.

All clear after EMDA with Mitomycin
On Monday I had a
cystoscopy
and NMP test and I’m NED. Very happy as this makes a year tumour free. Yay. I hope you’ve had good news recently too. Best wishes Paula

Can they tell the difference between bph/ chronic prostatitis / CPPS with a cystoscopy?
After a longwinded and tortuously slow process with the GP and urology departments, they decided to do a
cystoscopy
(painful) to see what was going on. No evidence of stricture, but they said I have bph and have probably had prostatitis. Was put on alpha blockers and told to return for follow ups.

And for me some good news!
So the NHS is open and I've had a
Cystoscopy
this afternoon painless although not pleasant and no infection or problem with the bladder but do still have blood in wee. I can't see it but he said its there, so now going for a non contrast CT scan as can't have contrast due to low kidney function.

Nausea at night
As I get alot of pain in my pelvis I'm due to have a laparoscopy (to check for Endo) joint with a
cystoscopy
. I should be having these done in the next few weeks, maybe my nausea is due to extra worry about the procedures..?

About cystoscopy, catheter and scar tissue
Dear friends: I am a male 82 yrs age and have been on HealthUnlocked for about a year. I have posted my arrhythmia history in these columns. For 3 months now I have had 2 cystoscopies, a urethra surgery and had to use indwelling catheter for 4 weeks in total. This was all blamed on scar tissue. My

Slightly lower eGFR, elevated ACR - Just need positive support
I ended up going to Urologist that requested multiple Urine cytology and eventually ordered a lunch special called "
cystoscopy
". Last 2 blood+urine test showed no more microscopic hematuria. That "war" was over by Feb 2020 and then pandemic hits in Mar 2020.

For now I recover from the
cystoscopy
and circumcision. Just wanted to say, have the courage and patience to see recovery through, it will not happen overnight.

Fear of Bladder Cancer
I mentioned a
cystoscopy
and he has agreed to do one this Friday. I am also suffering night sweats which isn't helping. I am almost immobilised with fear and feel very weak considering how bravely people deal with their problems on this site.

Undiagnosed
I was referred for a flexible
cystoscopy
and after the test I had pins and needles in both feet. The consultant said this was fine and discharged me. The following morning I couldn’t pee, so went to a and e and was fitted with a catheter.

Transurethral Urinary Bladder Resection #2...coming up!
Well Thursday’s
cystoscopy
put an end to that (although my oncologist argues this type of neoplasia shouldn’t matter). So I will be going in for surgery early next month.

Introduction and Blog Post
After a few days of thinking "well, at least it wasn't the bladder cancer my dad had", a
cystoscopy
showed that yes, I also had bladder cancer. The bladder cancer was removed surgically via a TURBT procedure (no incision, they go in through what is normal an "exit only" and remove the tumor).
