And for me some good news!

So the NHS is open and I've had a Cystoscopy this afternoon painless although not pleasant and no infection or problem with the bladder but do still have blood in wee. I can't see it but he said its there, so now going for a non contrast CT scan as can't have contrast due to low kidney function. Best of all news the three hits of Fosformyacin in a week have cleared the infection. He said the wait will be only a couple of weeks and also sometimes they never know why anyone leaks blood they just do on the odd occasion. All in all a good day as kidney function up to 26 GFR and just the odd concern about iron levels and a repeat test next week. Tomorrow is his 70 birthday so off to a posh restaurant and bring on a glass of wine. x

Thank you and I think it just might be odd as that each time this has happened I've had a small jump in kidney function. I did ask could my kidneys be shooting out microscopic bits and he said its possible but a CT will see if anything has changed in the past two years. And they'll let my Nephrologist know as he was asked about a CT and he said no contrast to be used. I must admit I'm so relieved and now going to watch the football with a lime and soda. xx

Glad it was a good day and I have had two flexible cystoscopies in 2025/2016 for microscopic haematuria and nothing to be seen. The urologist said having RA can mean you shed more red blood cells and also some areas meds can do that. It is always better to be safe though and I’m sure you can enjoy your weekend now. x

Hi Medway-lady, I to have had a nasty kidney infection very painful. The doctor in emergency Canada hospital said he thought I had kidney stones thankfully I didn't. That was April 1st and May 13th I was sent back to the hospital per my family doctor. The doctor I saw that day all the tests came back normal. I couldn't understand why I was in so much pain but the doctor said I needed to see a urologist which is why my family doctor sent me to the hospital. I wasn't even examined and after 10 hrs I went back home. I have since had a few tests and a telephone consultant with a urologist and I have an appointment to get a cystoscopy on the 28th.

I have a yeast infection which is very difficult to get

rid of, I also have incontinence very bad. That has suddenly got a lot worse. The Urologist does specialize in incontinence so I am hoping he can solve the problem as I feel that I can't go out, only to medical appointments. I have RA and fibromyalgia, I have tried Cimzia injections but they had to stop as I also started with psoriasis plus I had to go on antibiotics and the Dermatologist specialist said to stop the injections until he found out the cause of the psoriasis and I then started on the Cimzia twice. Hence my RA keeps flaring up. I hope that I will get some good news with the results from the cystoscopy.

Enjoy your celebration, take care xx
