Health anxiety
Hi everyone. I have health related anxiety. I can go from no anxiety or just mild anxiety to complete panic really fast. Whenever I get the physical symptoms of anxiety or feel “off" in any way I send myself into a full blown panic attack. I jump right to the worst possible conclusion and get that I'm

Hi, this is my first time visiting this site. I’ve been overweight my entire life, weighing 25st 7 at my biggest. I was pre-diabetic and had gestational diabetes when pregnant with my first child. The turning point for me was when I had to have a c section because he was going to be a bigger baby

New, confused, and in need of guidance
I find it so hard to talk about my mental health, embarrassing even. I am 20 I have suffered for over 6 years, undiagnosed, with depression and anxiety. Probably even more years with anxiety, almost as far back as I can remember. It is extremely crippling, I self harmed for years, I have been clean for

I can’t stop negative scenarios in my head
Hello, it’s my first time posting. Ive been suffering from anxiety and depression for years but it’s been extra bad lately. I’m constantly and always angry for no reason, I’m always looking for confrontation, and no matter what I do I’m extremely anxious, I also have many OCD like tendencies. All of

Am I a victim of patient profiling?
Since around the age of 16 my GP's have been speculating that I may have mental health problems although I have never presented with concerns of my own (I turn up with a cold and they suggest counselling or anti-depressants - obviously I'm exaggerating but that's how it feels), it is my firm belief that

Keep forgetting to take my anti
I have been on 50mg of sertraline for over three months now (I'm due a review of them this month) and when I was first put on them I took them daily, but in the run up to my daughter's birthday last Friday, I kept on forgetting to take them. I have never had any type of counselling for my postnatal depression

Witholding poo child
Hi, I’ve just this minute joined in seek of help/advice. My 4yr old is witholding again to the point of screaming, doing his poo dance etc. He’s refused his movicol all week and even now, I’ve given him a low dose of Dulcolax as he was quite ill the last time on 5mls. Is his screaming and poo dance normal

Hello to all eyeballs reading this...
Im Ariel. I deal with social anxiety on a regular basis and am now experiencing the most severe depression ive faced in a long time. I was looking for in person support groups and came across this site. I am just starting counseling but crave to connect with others who are feeling this hopelessness.

Just as any other health professional GP's have to keep up with continued professional development. Modules are offered through their online magazine Pulse. Introduction
hey guys, I am a 17 year old female who has been in the mental health service for three years. During those years I have had serious suicidal attempts, failed support from children's mental health services, counselling and severe episodes of self harm. However; during my last year within the services

TSH 4.5 Doctor refused to discuss my thyroid function as a possible cause for my symptoms
Hi, has anyone in the UK successfully received a prescription for levothyroxine with a TSH of 4.5? My doctor has had me in tears today. I am exhausted all the time as well as a very long list of other symptoms. I don't think she is listening to my symptoms and I left with her telling me she could prescribe

Not another day
Another 9 hours of peaceful worry free chest pain free sleep. But within 4 seconds of waking up I can feel the chest pains and pulsating and throbbing and everything else in my body. I really am not sure how much more of this I can endure. My body is shattered surely it's time for it to give up soon

Worried about bipolar
Hi my names James, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2001. Although I've had counselling, psych help and been hospitalised over the years, I feel that I've never been treated properly for it. I have suffered with really bad manic phases and low moods. I have been all over the place for years.
