COVID and discontinuing Actemra
My last few blood tests have had extremely high cholesterol, low neutrophils, high A.G ratio, high BUN/
Creatine
ratio, and I have high blood pressure, all of which may be affected by Actemra. I have a call in to my PC and Rhumy, but no response yet.

Case report: Rhabdomyolysis and kidney injury in a statin-treated hypothyroid patient-kill two birds with one stone
Relevant laboratory studies revealed persistent higher hypercholesterolemia with total cholesterol (312 mg/dL), high
creatine
kinase (CK) (5,178 U/L), and high creatinine levels (1.5 mg/dL) without dysmorphic red blood cells and proteinuria.

Creatine
So I started supplementing 2g/ day of
creatine
and will check my blood level again beginning of March. By doing so I intend to improve both, my prognosis as well as my muscle mass & strength. Any experience and/or feedback?

Queen is a busy bee
My
creatine
number is slowly creeping up. I don't even like to say the number out loud because it is so very upsetting. I have to realize that dialysis is what will keep me alive until I can actually get a transplant. This is all so scary, but I'm thankful for family and friends.

Creatine (as opposed to Creatinine): Pros & Cons Regarding Prostate Cancer & CD4 T-Cell levels
Myers used to prescribe
Creatine
to his prostate cancer patients and patients who had low CD4 T-Cell levels. Is anyone here currently taking, or consciously not taking, CD4 T-Cells. What are your opinions, pro and con, about
Creatine
?

My
creatine
number has risen and I know dialysis is on the horizon. I'm just trying not to worry about it but guess what. I do. I guess I'm human. I hope that when I do go on it I keep a piece of my sense of humor.

Varying proteinuria
Hi all! 23 yr old female here, been under very investigation into my kidneys for a year which has been slow due to moving around and being with different doctors. GFR and ultrasound have always come back clear but the consitent problem for the last year has been proteinuria and pain in my flanks.

Newly diagnosed with CKD and preoccupied with what this means for the future
So, do I just continue to monitor
creatine
levels and urine for protein until reaches a threshold for dialysis, then I’m forever tied to home for PD or making sure there’s a HD center near by?

Lowering eGFR and creatine
My husband was recently diagnosed with stage 2 CKD with
creatine
around 2.1 and eGFR around 42. Between the time his bloodwork showed that and when he saw the nephrologist for the first time, he went in for a heart catherization.

Latest Consultation/Bloods
The key markers were: Hb 136, white cells 14.9, platelets 253, neutrophils 3, lymphocytes 11.3,
creatine
59, CRP less than 1, LDH 215, immunoglobulins normal. (The units are appropriate to the UK) I suggested we do all this again in 1 year and my consultant agreed.

FINALLY had my 1st Neurologist appointment today…..
Plus I need to get bloodwork done for Lupus, Rheumatoid arthritis,
Creatine
kinase, Sed rate, & C-reactive protein. So lots of testing that won’t start until March. I wish it didn’t take so long! I hate all these symptoms I am having!
