Creatine

My renal profile has come back abnormal twice 59 then 60 with the GFR and 89 then 87 with the creatine. I also had my urine tested and that was in normal range. My GP advised for bloods to be done again in 3 months and I’m just wondering if that is normal practise?

Entered hospital with creatine level of 5.1. Put him on antibiotics and steroids. Then had plasmaphyesis. Creatine level was 7.4 after treatment . He is 35. Having second treatment today. I think the p!

My creatine levels where between 140 to 150 , no protein in the urine and slightly anemic and have microscopic blood in urine. I’ve had a few colds and passed gross blood in the urine fir a day or two during the cold. Bit weird my last two creatine readings where 112 with no protein.

Current Albumin/Creatine ratio 2.7. Albumin urine 6 g/dL. Creatinine urine 2.2 mmo/L. Creatinine Blood 120 mmo/L. New symptom foamy urine (proteinuria?). Sodium, calcium, phosphorus, potassium within normal range. My nurse practioner "don't worry until ACR is 3.0". Monitoring done every 3 months.

I started taking Creatine for the weight lifting and also take a potassium supplement. I am going to stop taking both of the supplements and was wondering if these could be causing my EGFR levels to be low.

Bloods came back fine now a diff doc wants to do bloods for creatine kinase but first appointment I can get is 9th Aug so waiting again. Since then I've convinced myself I have MND ☹️ and anxiety going up and down which I know isn't helping.

I know it’s to do with creatine levels and my age - 41 now but I am a worrier and this is playing on my mind - do it mean disease activity or just my kidneys are scarred and as I age my kidneys struggle even more it’s been in 80s and 70s for around 2 years now - dr always says satisfactory Many thanks

I am not sure if I am worrying unnecessarily but my creatine was 125 & egfr was 38. I checked back on previous results & my 1st appt in Oct was 106 & 47. I have had two rituximab infusions & due another one in May. My consultant has said I am currently in clinical remission.

Hey folks, Rando question... My rheumy in her letter to my GP has written that I have a high CK of over 700... My age (77) and current kidney function (eGFR approx 57, Urine Protein/Urine Creatine Ratio: 478, labs done 6 weeks ago) are probably also factors. I was hoping for better but really can't be surprised.

Hi, Does anyone know if steadily decreasing BUN and BUN/creatine values are 100% indicative of liver failure? Albumin, bilirubin, creatine, and protein levels are normal. Platelets are low. ALP, AST, and ALT are Moderately increased.

Now that's getting better but my creatine rose from 1.21 to 1.35. Normally, my creatinine ranges between 1.15 and 1.25. My TAC was 6.1 (should be between 6-8).

I decided to pay extra to get the more sensitive cyastatin-C test which isn't based on muscle breakdown of creatine into creatinine which can cause false readings and diagnosis. Turns out my GFR is 94 and my kidneys are perfectly healthy. Get this test if your eGFR comes out bad.
