Update, just home after craniotomy
Hi everyone I had the
craniotomy
for clipping of unruptured aneurysm on right middle cerebral artery on Monday the 4th of November . It was an 8 hour operation, I have pulled through without any major complications, just a few minor like fatigue and memory and a sore head etc.

Craniotomy
Hi everyone, I made the decision to get my third aneurysm clipped . I just got my date Monday the 4th of November, which is 7 months after my sah . I am very nervous but I suppose that is normal , I am trying to be positive and look forward to feeling free when it is done . Has anyone that has got this

Hope after a TBI
I underwent a 8 hour emergency decompressive
craniotomy
. Recovery in Critical Care was slightly dampered as I contracted a severe lung infection and sepsis within days of the surgery.

Hello everyone 🦋 It’s almost 10:00pm, and I am looking at my calendar.. 9 days until his awake
craniotomy
.. although I am happy we are getting out all of whatever it is that is in that empty (or should be empty) cavity, all the emotions are coming back that are familiar from the first one.

Ryan update
With that said, left sided AWAKE
craniotomy
is scheduled for September 20th. Surgeon will go in and de bulk the cavity, whether it is dead tissue from radiation or actual recurrent tumor. It will obviously be biopsied and stains will be taken so see the make up.

Lots of lumps
I first noticed them a few years back and assumed they were just scar tissue from my previous
craniotomy
. They weren’t sore and there was only 6 of them. Now they are and they’ve multiplied. I had an mri a couple of weeks ago and they are not scar tissue from the screws.

Gran mal to partial?
Our story might be different.. but my boyfriend has seizures due to a
craniotomy
he had in his left temporal lobe.. and almost all of them up until this last month have been gran mal. He’s had 4 or 5 partial seizures since January. Usually people go from partial to gran mal right?

Burr hole victim lol
He immediately put me on admission and called a neurosurgeon, he came, studied the scan and I had a burr hole
craniotomy
the very next day. My very first surgical procedure, it was painful and quite terrifying, had a drain tube sticking out of my head for two days.

So frustrated
I underwent a Right Frontal
Craniotomy
& Decompressive Craniectomy the next day which happened to mark my parents 28th Wedding Anniversary. I was discharged from hospital on 14th August 2009 but went back once a week for Occupational Therapy.

Brain injury or not?
I had a brain infection and needed a
craniotomy
to remove the build up of pus (subdural empyema). I dont think they touched my brain but obviously they cut my skull. I dont feel Im the same person any more. My anxiety and depression is terrible and i have daily headaches and fatigue.
