Morning peeps 😊. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I am curious as to whether or not anyone has experienced what I’m currently experiencing and if it could have any relation to the lung cancer. I have developed 13 lumps/bumps on the back of my head...on the skull but under the skin. They’re in a cluster of sorts. They are very hard, most about the size of a green pea and are becoming super annoying. Some of them I can hardly touch because they hurt. There’s one or two that even laying on a pillow hurts unless I find just the right spot to avoid pressing on them. I first noticed them a few years back and assumed they were just scar tissue from my previous craniotomy. They weren’t sore and there was only 6 of them. Now they are and they’ve multiplied. I had an mri a couple of weeks ago and they are not scar tissue from the screws. The screws are in a specific patter and can be seen on X-ray. The doctor who read the Mri suggested I follow up with the dermatologist.
The night before last I rolled onto my left side in bed and felt this terrible pain shoot through my left side, by my ribs. I felt around there and hit a spot and almost hit the ceiling. There is a marble sized lump on the lower part of my ribs that is again, too sore to mess with. It feels almost the same as the ones on my head but I can’t push on it to feel it’s density because it hurts. WTH is going on that I’m all of a sudden getting all these lumps?? Could they be cysts that formed as a result of the trauma to my scalp from the brain surgeries? When I called and asked my neurosurgeon his assistant said it’s definitely not the screws because my bone flap as a rectangle shaped piece and the plates and screws follow that pattern. Supposedly there are 6 tiny plates with 12 little screws. Could it have something to do with the previous immunotherapy? If anyone has experienced this, please let me know. It’s so odd...

Never in 8+ years have I heard of anything like this but the more I know the more I’m aware there’s tons I don’t know. Please do see the dermatologist but if the wait is long I would consult my Primary Care dr
Let us know please. This is so freaky. I hope it’s easily resolved.
I think you definitely need to be seeing some type of doctor to get this resolved. I can tell you that I did have a coworker at one point that ended up with these really weird bumps on her head that kind of came on out of the blue and it ultimately ended up being spider bites. if you happen to have spiders in your house so you've seen any in the area it's definitely something to consider I know it's very unique and rare but it could be a possibility.
I don't recall exactly what the treatment was but it was resolved fairly easily.
Because some of them have been there for quite a few years , I think that rules out anything like that. Cysts or fibroids from the surgeries is more likely but it’s just weird how they multiplied. I’ll definitely keep you guys posted. Thanks for the response! 😊😊
Hi Ynkefan, you need a break! In any event , see your Dr tomorrow. If it gets worse, just get to an Urgent Care or if really bad go straight to the ER. All Best Wishes, judg69
Have the Dr's said anything. If not please make sure they do. I care about you. You have the prettiest smile and face. And good attitude. Love you Susiejo1948
i had a craniotonomy on dec 8 2018 then had to get a whole brain radiation. hence imy hair fell out and the hair was shaved and has been growing back. i wear a helmet and have to until i get my cranioplasty in a few months. it has been hot latetely so i don't wear my helmet while in bed. so i developed a painful pimple on the back of my head where my head was rubbing the pillow. it popped in a few days. i covered it with a bandaid and antibiotic so i wouldn't get an infection. hope it is just pimples for you too. it is not likelt to have anything with yout cancer, just a bald head!
That's all he could tell you about MRI? Did you get a copy? Please do, and look up every word you don't understand. Cancer nodules usually aren't painful.
