Cpap and afib
Tomorrow I see my cardiologist and I'm curious what he'll recommend since I'm currently being tested for sleep apnea that test is pending I may need to start CPAP therapy. Has anyone in the community experience CPAP therapy and how that helps with Afib? I'm hoping that whatever he recommends he will

Cpap and inhaler interaction
Cpap and Fostair inhaler interaction For the last year or so I have had problems with my CPAP Autoset increasing the pressure to uncomfortable levels. I have found out that this pressure increase has been caused by the change of inhaler to a lower dosage steroid. Fostair 100/6 in May last year I have

Just a self observation....
I have - in the words of my GP - a stinking chest infection, been coughing for over 4 weeks now and currently on my second antibiotics (those that know me will know for me to even consider an antibiotic I must be bad!). After a whole 10 days without as much as Heart wobble - I was looking forward to

The story so far....
For the past 10 years I’ve been battling with what I thought was depression. After numerous GP appointments, medication, counselling and hypnotherapy and getting no where I decided to do some research into my actual symptoms. My main symptoms being extreme fatigue, muscle aches, dizziness, balance issues

I was diagnosed October 2017. I use a cpap with nasal pillow but I’m having increasing problems getting the seal correct. Any other users out there with advice. It’s really difficult getting return message from sleep clinic asking for help

Has anyone had an increase in anxiety/panic attacks when taking Cytomel?
Hello, I am new to this group. I went to a hormone specialist last year when my menopausal symptoms were giving me grief. I was prescribed progesterone, Estridot patch and DHEA as well as cytomel, which I've been taking for the past 1.5 years. In November, my doctor increased my dosage from one 5

Have I got Pernicious Anaemia ?
I was diagnosed by my GP as having Pernicious Anaemia around 5 years ago, I assume this was after one of my regular blood tests for type 2 Diabetes. Since then I have been having 1ml. injections of Hydroxocobalamin / Vitamin B12 at the surgery, originally every 12 weeks. However, as I didn't seem to

Slow Progression PSP-P and MR Parkinsonism index predicts vertical supranuclear gaze palsy in patients with psp-parkinsonism
Hi. well we went to neuro opthalmologst and after having a look said what made them make a diagnosis of PSP? "There is no indication of PSP and tends towards Parkinsons" I explained that the diagnosis was made due to the Hummingbird sign on the MRI. Looked like he didn't know what I was talking about

Sleep study
Hi all! I just wanted to encourage anyone who has severe issues in the morning to get a sleep study done even if you don’t have sleepiness during the day. I live in North Dakota and have pretty limited access to good neurologists or movement disorder specialists. I’ve only been diagnosed for a year and

Need All The Advice I Can Get!!
Hi, the short version of my story is that I have scoliosis (curvature of the spine) that cannot be fixed with the traditional method of metal rods because it is too severe, and there is an 80% risk of paralysis or infection. Despite some restriction on my lungs, it hasn't affected my breathing much

Why am I always exhausted?
I'm 40, and for the last 18 months or so, I've been suffering from severe exhaustion. I've been stuck in this zombie-like state, living barely half a life, and it's wearing me down so much, I honestly don't know how much longer I can take it. Just over a year ago I went to the doctors because I snore

Post Encephalitis cognitive problems
My world has been turned upside down, I've just had six months off work with problems... My short term memory has always been a bit iffy since I had Viral Encephalitis in 2001, but these latest problems though, started with an inability to speak (dysarthria), then I was found in a confused state, covered

Multiple sneezing episodes
I suffer from bouts of multiple sneezing episodes. My husband says the average is ten in a row. Sometimes the episodes can be quite violent and painful. For me there are no apparent triggers. I have mentioned this to my local doctor and pulmonologist but no one appears the slightest bit interested. In

Poor sleep in spite of using a CPAP machine
Is anybody out there in the same boat as me, I have been using CPAP treatment for over 20 years, but my actual sleep time is getting worse. It did take me a long time to realise that this was so, I was like people who did not have Sleep Apnea, I thought the machine would promote good sleep. Most nights
