New diagnosis
I was given the
CPAP
on the same day of diagnosis and feel a lot better since starting treatment. Does anyone have any experience of this and when am I likely be able to drive again?

Hi all
Have been on
cpap
for nearly a year was getting 57 episodes an hour in my sleep study.
Cpap
hasn’t helped the afib but it has controlled my high bp to the point where I now don’t need meds.

CPAP Trial - one week in
I’m one quarter of the way through my 4 week
CPAP
trial. Being claustrophobic I’m struggling but getting used to it. I’m determined to complete the trial and see if it helps my heart. This is the mask so it’s the most unobtrusive one they had.

Ground Hog Day
Everyone is happy with how well I’m going with the
CPAP
trial (I still don’t like it though). I’m well within the normal AHI range which is great.

SLEEP APNOEA
You will be given a
CPAP
machine to use and providing you use it 80% of your sleeping hours they will still allow you to drive.

Pramipexole side effects
I use a
CPAP
machine for central apnoeas, and then a sleep study showed that RLS/periodic limb movement was repeatedly waking me in the night. The effect was wonderful at first, with my sleeping soundly for 6 hours and waking refreshed. The effect has tailed off since.

Body Vibrations Night Terrors
Further more i have been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and now use a
cpap
machine which has reduced the amount of times i stop breathing from 38 times per hour to just 1.5. This is a work in progress ... and im determined to get to the bottom of this one way or another.

Sleep Study
Although I hate the idea of a
CPAP
machine because of my claustrophobia, I’ve agreed to a trial. I need to be brave and give it a go. My mum has severe sleep apnea and has dementia. I don’t want that to be me in 20 years.

I have tried on 3 occasions different masks persevering at least 6 weeks

Atrial Fib:- Identifying Triggers ...
I have sleep apnoea and had 2 episodes of AF during a period when my
CPAP
mask wasn't fitting properly and I would wake up with a jolt and the AF irregular palpitations. I also suspect a connection with consumption/digestion and its effect on the Vagus Nerve in the stomach and AF.

Chin straps - one for those with SA sufferers and snorers
I’ve used
CPAP
for about 5 years now and it has definitely improved my QOL. I have bought and tried most makes of chin strap - some were better than others but I still haven’t come across one that I am truly comfortable with. Can anyone recommend a comfortable, breathable strap?

Microcytic, hypochromic anemia.
is what I've been told I have .Hi all , newbie here .I am 62 and began to suffer horrendous tiredness , falling asleep everywhere .I have sleep apnea , but though I wear a
CPAP
, the small red blood cells produced in the anemia above is the real problem .It was red flagged as a possible slow bleed ,

Asthma - temporary worsening
It’s just that I use a
CPAP
and it’s making sleep a bit more difficult. I would really appreciate any comments from people with similar situations. Thanks.
