I have RBD that I treat with clonazepam. I also have OSA that is treated with CPAP. I have never heard of CPAP as a treatment for RBD as in RBD you act out dreams as the body does not self-paralyse to stop that. I cannot see how CPAP would help RBD.

The only thing that has helped hubby’s RBD is .5 mg clonopin with 20 mg of melatonin .... while the CPAP helped the apnea... the benefit did not out weigh the difficulties using it

There is psuedo-RBD which Is stimulated from essentially fragmented sleep caused by OSA. So some people get a CPAP to stop the person from being pulled from REM (thus causing them to act out their dreams). It only applies to the pseudo version- it's a "waking dream" per say due to your body pulling you from sleep too quickly as a result of air deprivation; however, it does not help with true idiopathic or 2ndary RBD (neurodegenerative diseases).
