Does PMR come back again?
After a few hiccoughs I have managed to get my
cortisone
down to 2mg. I'm hoping that my PMR may be on the way out and I may be able to get off the
cortisone
completely. Is it possible to be completely 'cured' of PMR or are relapses possible?

I have been on thyroxine for the past six months now and have been on 200mcg for the past three weeks. I am feeling no improvement at all. I have had my blood test results today and wondered if they could be interpreted for me. I have posted the lab ranges as well on my test results report and

Seeing Dr S tomorrow. Need advice re Low Cortisol.
Hi Everyone, What is Dr S likely to do tomorrow? Does he take much notice of Adrenal Stress Profiles? My total Cortisol is 15.3 (21-41) I haven't been responding well to Levo or Armour. Still very hypo and now getting cholesterol lumps on my eyelids. I think my leg and foot pain is due to

Anyone else use predisolone and anti inflammatories together?
My doctor wants me to cut down on the
cortisone
and use more Arcoxia but sometimes the Acoxia seems to have no effect at all. I just wondered how many other people use both.

Blood results. Help, please.
Have just had blood results requested by endo. Am very pleased with her attitude and the letter sent to GP. TSH (on 50ug of levo) at 0.45 which she states she is happy about. Not worried about my BP so here's hoping this will make the GP focus on thyroid stuff and not BP. No coeliac. Low cortisol at

Did anyone notice red patch on throat before being diagnosed with under active thyroid?
I went to the doctor who had no idea what it was but prescribed me a
cortisone
cream to try which did absolutely nothing. It was around this time that I went onto levothyroxine and the condition disappeared almost immediately and has never returned.

Any answers on morning anxiety?
Hi, folks. I have just ordered Paul Robinson's book on the CT3 method, but something another member said has me wondering. If I wake up with anxiety, might it be because I have low cortisol levels and that adrenalin is being produced because of this? Anyone got any info? I have quite a fast and thumpy

Stress in Life
In a challenging situation the brain prepares the body for defensive action the fight or flight response by releasing stress hormones, namely,
cortisone
and adrenaline. These hormones raise the blood pressure and the body prepares to react to the situation.

Help with bloods please...
Hi everyone, I've just had some bloods done after three months on levothyroxine. I'd be grateful if someone could give me some advice as I still feel awful. Plus, and this is really upsetting me - my hair is falling out by the bucketload. I posted a blog about my journey to diagnosis in January if anyone

Cortisol Level - is there a part of the range which is best? Also serum FSH, LH and Prolactin - any ideas on these?
Just a quick question. My cortisol result is in range. But it's in the lower part. Is it best to have a cortisol reading at the top end of the range? I ask for two reasons: 1) I suffer chronic dehydration and I was reading low cortisol can interfere with hydration levels 2) I suffer high heart

Swelling/lumps in left side of chest/ribcage....
No one knows what causes it..or even what it is for that matter...they just want to give me
cortisone
injections. I gave up on that a long time ago...not fixing the problem and they hurt like MAD!. So for the last 3 years or so, I just deal with it.
