new....well sort of ; )
i had spine surgery, a year of physical therapy, more
cortisone
injections than i can remember, a recent radio frequency ablation to spinal nerves, a brace that hurt more than it helped...but nothing has worked. the pain is the same. the lack of mobility continues to progress.

Referred to an Orthopaedic consultant who confirmed Osteoarthritis in both hips and I had
cortisone
injections for both. The pain then moved to my shoulder and neck and then my knees.

Burning legs
He has had
cortisone
injections in the past for the pain. Physio has given exercises which aren’t helping. He was prescribed annitriptaline which allowed sleep but kept him asleep for the day as well so he stopped taking them.

New Results: Please Help Interpret!
Hi everyone, I just got my new results back and would appreciate any advice before seeing my endo tomorrow afternoon. I have been on 125mg of Levothyroxine. Endo has switched me to taking levo at night, other then that there has been no change and I have been on this dose already with my March results

Cortisone shot affects
I recently had two
cortisone
shots in my hand on the same day. One for a trigger finger the other for carpal tunnel. I have been able to reduce my prednisone to 5mg. I have no body pain what do ever.

Ultrasound guided cortisone injection
After a 4 month wait I finally got an injection in my wrist. It is nipping like hell and I feel a bit spaced out - but here's hoping it will help. Hurrah

Tapering off inhaled steroids due to steroid induced adrenal insufficiency
Tapering off inhaled steroids Seretide has completely suppressed my adrenals. I mean completely. It's been going on for years, but doctors don't 'see' it. An endo saw my low cortisol years ago but didn't act. Now it's gone... ccan my adrenals ever come back? Hospital can't predict. Hospital want me

Dose pack of methyl prednisone while on 4 mg of prednisone
I have seen a neurosurgeon who read my MRIand he has prescribed physical therapy,
cortisone
injections and a dose pack of methyl prednisone. I am scared to death that what he has prescribed will be bad for my PMR treatments. Will this shot and the dose pack put me at risk for a flare.

Peg-Interferon therapy, contraindications
My issue is that I suffered throughout 2020/21 from a granulomatous dermatitis (diagnosed as cutaneous sarcoidosis, an inflammatory condition ), which eventually, after
cortisone
therapy and going on HU, subsided.

Cortisone Injections, drug interactions and ectopics
I checked the interactions between
Cortisone
injection and Attenolol and it says that the
Cortisone
can lower the effectiveness of Attenolol if it's being taken for blood pressure - my BP is fine, I take it to keep my heart steady.

Cortisone/ablation spinal injection
I’ve been offered a
cortisone
spinal injection so help ease the inflammation. Also, if this doesn’t help with the pain they can then do a radio frequency ablation. Has anyone had either of these? Ss

Brand of T4 and timing
Hello, my husband has a T4 private prescription and wondering which brand seems to be the most well tolerated? Also, he has low cortisol so wondering if taking it at night might work better for him? Thanks

Taking hormone pills with Hashimotos
I’ve always avoided the contraceptive pill with my thyroid issue, I didn’t feel it was the right thing to do. I recently had an appointment with an endocrinologist, due to chronic insomnia, which I suspect is due to my low cortisol and low DHEA. She hasn’t confirmed as yet her proposed treatment plan

Another disappointing endocrinologist - Cornwall
I know I am unable to discuss individual Doctors here, but thought it might help others to mention what happened at my NHS endo meeting. I saw a female endo via the NHS yesterday, who is based in Truro, Cornwall and off Thyroid UKs list of Endos who (amongst other things) may help with low DHEA (my

Adrenal Insufficiency - it is possible to recover with severe asthma?
So it was confirmed that I have secondary adrenal insufficiency the other week. They did also look at Primary but my blood results have shown that it is down to the steriods taken for my asthma. My cortisol level was again below 28 and unreadable but surprisingly my ACTH came back at 49. Renin was high
