Did you have it injected while having an ultra sound to help with the location? I have arthritis in my ankle I broke yrs ago. About 10 yrs ago or so I had a cortisone shot to relieve the pain and make the ankle more flexible. The shot hurt so bad I didn't go back till last year to try the ultra sound guided injection. It was like night and day. The shot I receive goes in from the front of my ankle toward the top of my foot. I highly recommend getting a cortisone shot via ultra sound if you haven't already done so.

Yes they took a detailed look to find the best injection site. Me too, like you I had one a few years ago without the ultrasound & it was painful/didn't work...wrist feels great today! cheers
