Cortisone allergy ?

Hello everyone,

I have had asthma and neurodermatitis for a long time. At the beginning I was given a cortisone spray for asthma and at some point a cortisone ointment for the dermatitis.

My odyssey began with the cortisone ointment because it made my dermatitis extremely worse instead of better. At some point I decided to stop taking it, which initially ended in an extreme worsening but then got better after a few weeks. I thought it was contact dermatitis or a cortisone allergy. My doctor didn't want to believe that.

Despite this, my skin never completely improved and I noticed a connection with the cortisone spray. Every time I take it, the next day the skin on my face and neck starts to turn red and becomes flaky. Unfortunately, my doctor doesn't see any connection.

Have any of you experienced something similar?

Hi,

I have also experienced problems with the skin after cortisone treatment for asthma. My Doctor prescribed me a cortisone cream for this, but it did not get any better with this cream.

The Doctor now scraped a little sample of the "eczema" and sent it off to the lab. When the result came back, it was caused by a fungus. Now I got a cream for this fungus, and it cleared in a few days. Sens Morales, even if it looks like being eczema, it could be something else.

I would go back to the Doctor and ask him to investigate it further.
