Partner not allowed into consultation
My wife received a letter today, confirming her consultation date when she will finally learn if any treatment is available to her and if so what is recommended. However, this letter also states "please would you attend alone." This is utterly astonishing. They say it's due to the pandemic.

Finding it really hard getting back into it
My last run was on 7th July. A busy week made me miss a couple of runs, then catching Covid (again) and the heat wave just made it impossible to even consider running. I dont do well in the heat at the best of time, anything over 25 and I find walking fast a killer. The dogs can only have a short

Going backwards!
I am not sure if anyone can help with this, maybe some words of encouragement or similar? I started my running journey about a year ago and with lots of hard work managed to get to 9 miles in 1 hour 28 mins. I was so happy, and felt that I was really improving. Then in April 21 covid hit. Since

GCA since Feb. 2018 ---mid-transfer from one roller coaster to another. Its tricky.
I believe my GCA is under control. I am down to 5 mg of prednisone, and on that aspect, feel good. It has taken a year to settle into 5mg, and I hope others will read this and realize that sometimes it just takes a long time to get the dose down. I appreciate all the support from you folks. 4 months and no answers!
Heads up: this is a vent post about how much this SUCKS! OK, so the story is, I’ve been off work for the past 4 months with exertional breathlessness and no cause. They know my heart is involved, but every single cardiac test (stress test, CPCA, halter, PET/CT, cardiac MRI) has come back normal. CPET

Covid prior to ivf
I tested positive for covid last Friday, but negative both Saturday and today. I’m due to start stims either tomorrow or Tuesday. I was barely ill- I had a cough for a day and that was it. We think it’s likely my partner had it as well, he was even less symptomatic, just a scratchy throat for 24hrs at

PROTECTION FROM COVID WITH EVUSHELD??
I have not been on this site for a while, but wanted to share some interesting information with you. I have been in a random trial (arm 1; I/O) at Mayo’s for over 3 years (started April 2019). I am in the high risk category being IgVH unmutated, 11del, and having trisomy 12. My blood picture became

Effect of Covid on AF
I am now recovering ( tested positive 7 days ago) from a nasty bout with Covid . I am finding that my heart rhythm is all over the place. Had an ablation in December and have been largely but not entirely in NSR for a while. I am now either tachycardic, unclassified or possible AF according to my kardia

Seems a long time
My husband was diagnosed with Right upper lobe T3 N0 M0 non-small cell lung cancer in June 2021. Because he also has COPD they said they couldn’t operate so he was given 20 sessions of radiotherapy in October 2021. Since then he hasn’t seen his oncologist at all, just a phone call every 12 weeks. He

Has anyone taken Paxlovid and PD Meds?
I may have been exposed to COVID and can’t find anything specific about interactions between Paxlovid and Carbidopa/levodopa (sinemet). I’m not sure I will take it even if I do come down with COVID, but I’m trying to be proactive.

Slow COVID recovery -- anti-inflammatory: berberine, anthocyanin, or?
It's been nearly four weeks since the whole family (and a few friends) all tested positive within a day or two of each other. Nothing severe for any of us. We all had "the usual" few days of fever, fatigue, body aches, cough, etc. But I'm the only one feeling lingering effects that include: weakness

Update on Insurance Claim - Staysure
Remember this post about a fortnight ago? Hi Beaver. I am insured with Staysure and had to make a claim when we had to return from Scotland due to testing positive for Covid. I am CEV so had to return for Covid Antibody treatment and of course the moral issue. I made a claim the day after (June 23rd

shingles and Covid at the same time
so I’ve been really stressed with work, a horrible accident my nephew was in, and just over all everything. So I’m not surprised I got shingles I am surprised I got Covid. I work in health care but I’m super careful and had 0 symptoms. I’m just wondering how hard this will hit my liver. I’m on Valtrex

5k Runniversary update
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who replied to my previous post regarding my 5k Runniversary. The response was very positive and only goes to show how good this community is. It gives people great encouragement spurs everyone on as a result. Just a bit of an update from my 10k run last Monday

I have covid, can I have my laparoscopy next month?
hi guys, I have tested positive for covid for the second time as of today, and I’m worried about the implications on my planned laparoscopy. My pre op appointment is on the 13th of August (15 days away) and my surgery is scheduled for the 22nd (24 days away). I’m not sure what to do! Is it safe for me
