Covid booster and aching joints

I had my Covid booster Number 6 (I am on Imraldi and steroids for my RA) about 3-4 weeks ago and ever since have been feeling tired and my whole body aches, just wondering if anyone else has suffered symptoms after the jabs. I am reluctant to have any more if I am going to feel like this.

I’ve been feeling like that since the first two AZ jabs..I did have Pfizer for jabs 3&4..but I’ve drawn the line now….No number 5 for me.

I have always had the annual flu jab…& I will continue with that.

Those who feel they want to continue to have Covid vaccinations….are able to do so….but I’m not chancing feeling really bad again.

I hope your aches & pains pass off soon.

Thank you, I shall certainly think twice about having another x

Yes, like you, my whole body aches - especially my legs, and I get tired very easily. To be honest, I haven't felt 100% since I started having the jabs (had 6 in total ) and had short breaks from my meds each time, plus had covid back in April . I wonder sometimes if my poor immune system doesn't know what's going on. It could of course just be coincidence , but I do wonder.

This is the first time I have had a problem - I agree I think our poor bodies are just confused. I am sure my rheumi would say there is no connection but looking at all the posts, like you, I do wonder

I've had problems after every jab , AZ, Pfizer and Moderna.

Me too ! 6 jabs , AZ , Pfizer and Moderna . Just felt "yeuch" for up to a week after each . Last year felt poorly after 'flu jab . This year , fine after 'flu jab , despite being the quadrivalent. Not even a tender arm !

I've never had any problem with the flu jabs either.

I’ve had Pfizer for all four vaccinations the last being their bivalent one called Comidity. I had no pain at all from the injection, but within a couple of weeks I developed diverticulitis. I was prescribed antibiotics and it seemed to go away but after a few days it returned so off I went and was prescribed more antibiotics and had blood tests which showed inflammation. I finished the second course at the end of last week and I’ve got a funny feeling it might still be lurking away in the background.

I’m now taking probiotics and crossing my fingers. I’m not one for conspiracy theories and that sort of thing but I am beginning to wonder if the whole thing has been triggered by the vaccination. I haven’t mentioned it to my GP because I only thought about it recently. I have just googled and found this - ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl... - so who knows.

I don’t think I want to have any more covid vaccinations either.

Since my Comidity jab I have suffered from deep aching in my legs below the knees, and very cold feet, well they are telling me they are cold until I touch them, and they are warm. Initially, I just thought my arthritic knees were playing up, but the pain and numbness have just not gone away. I have a Doppler test week next week, to see how my circulation is. I have been reluctant to think it might be the vaccine, as I feel you enter the realms of the tinfoil hat brigade. However, after reading your and other people's experiences here I am beginning to rethink that. I hope things settle down for you.

That is really weird because my knees and lower legs and ankles ache, they feel really strange they feel cold sort of right through to the bone yet other parts of me feel norma. It’s hard to heat them up and they don’t feel warm to touch.

I’ve just bought a pair or alpaca wool leg warmers - they are good on my lower legs but they don’t help the knees so I’ve just ordered a pair of thigh length ones which will hopefully keep my knees warm.

Let us know how your Doppler test goes - I haven’t spoken to anyone about it though I will mention it if the diverticulitis flares up again - not that I expect it will make any difference.

Like you say once you start to wonder about the vaccine connection you feel as if you are entering into the tinfoil hat brigade.

I can’t face another booster. My RA was initially triggered by the first two and the next two put me into full flares I couldn’t get out of. They just don’t react well with me. Sympathies. It’s tough and there’s no good option.

Yes, like AgedCrone. I've been feeling tired and body aching. Number 6 jab made me even more tired. Take care.

I have now had 6 Covid vaccines and only had a problem with the third one. It was like a very bad RA flare. However after six weeks I was given a steroid injection by Rheumatology and this solved the problem. All the other vaccinations have been fine, just achy for a few days. Have you contacted Rheumatology to see if they can help? Hope you are feeling better soon.

yes I had painful wrists, elbows and neck following my Pfizer booster. I have ankylosing spondylitis. These are joints I didn’t particularly have problems with before. It didn’t happen after my first Pfizer booster. So I am now very doubtful about having it again next year. I can’t afford anymore joint damage!

yes every time. My meds stopped working and I never worked fully after. my CRP and esa bloods never show anything except after my vaccines when they are sky high . I had my 6 vaccine after I stopped Baricitinib and 6 weeks before I started Adalimumab only been on this a month but I’m still struggling. Rheumatologist insists it’s the best thing to do I’m not convinced.

It does make you doubt the professionals!! Let's hope we feel better soon, I feel as if I have taken a lot of steps backwards after I was doing so well. Like you I am on Adalimumab and up until now it has been a wonder drug.

hi I do sympathise with you. I was fine with the Pfizer (jabs 1,2 and3) but Moderna the 4th seemed to coincide with a bad flare over the summer. My Rheumy gave me a steroid injection which sorted me out and I felt great. The 5th jab in late September- Spikevaxx triggered another flare. I then developed intermittent tachycardia and breathlessness.

Ended up in hospital in cardiac ward but thankfully no embolism and cardiac function seemed ok but am under the hospital now plus also now on bisoprolol and have no energy at all. To cap it all I got covid on discharge which hung around for two weeks or so. I really really hope you pick up soon but like others on here - no more jabs for me. I think vaccines are generally safe but like every drug there are bound to be issues. I ve had some scary moments since September and am now very aware of how fragile life is. At the moment am sore and achy and due to see my rheumatologist in a couple of weeks. All I want to do is feel better or as good as I was in spring before these latest jabs.

I'm so sorry that you have had such a rough time - I shall definitely think twice before I have any more jabs. Like you I felt great in the spring and have gone downhill since - here's hoping we both feel better soon.

Yes , the 6th vaccine knocked the stuffing out of me, felt as if I had covid again. Still getting even more fatigue than usual. I had the modern bivalent, and flu at the same time.I have resolved not to have both together next time. Fingers crossed that will help, because I do want to maintain my vaccinations. Having had covid once, I don't want it again!!

Each jab has knocked me out for a week aches pain headache. But I am scared stiff of the alternative as covid twice led to pneumonia! Better the devil you know as Kylie tells us 🙋🏻‍♀️
