At what psa is PCa suspected?
my 45 year old son has a psa of 0.79. No PCa diagnosis. Should he be concerned? (Dad with PCa)

Radiation PSA, Orgovyx, Bone density Update 2/18/24
Rouge clone radiation on 10/31/23 has PSA from 4.83 on 11/20/23 to 0.85 on 12/18. HOWEVER, PSA up to 1.48 on 1/29/24 then 2.48 on 2/15/24. Waiting MO response but anticipate PET scan, radiation and/or switch to Xtandi. Was hoping to ride the Zytiga therapy as long as possible but I may be there now.

Suboptimal Cortisol levels following Synacthen test
I’ve just turned 60 and used to be a sportsperson. I’ve been on predisolene for 5 1/2 years and unable to get below 5mg despite several slow attempts. My rheumy suggested a short synacthen test via Endo which was 8 months later. I barely function on 5mg with doing bare minimum, giving up my small flower

Pred dose post hip operation
Hi, and thank you in advance to all who have the patience to read this long story, and the kindness to offer advice: I have so many things going on at the moment! Currently, PMR seems like the least of my problems, and I’m hoping I can ride the other medical turmoil I’m in without it raising it’s head

Nausea from Meds
Hi there, As my profile says I have recently experienced an NSTEMI and had a stent fitted in December 2023. I'm looking for advice on managing the cocktail of medication I am on which is causing me nausea and insomnia due to nausea. It's been nearly three weeks and I still struggle to sleep due to

It's my turn now....
I've been on the waiting list since November '23 and now this afternoon I am being admitted to hospital for a CABG x5 tomorrow (12th April) - hopefully no last minute cancellation. Had a heart attack and stents back in 2019 and was blue lighted into hospital so no time to think about what was happening

free from psp
My husband is free from this horrible disease. He passed away 1/24/24 at 68. I miss him horribly but I’m so glad he’s not suffering anymore. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2019 and then later with PSP in 2020. The last 1 1/2 years was really tough and if it wasn’t for my kids, this forum and

Metastatic prostate cancer in the lungs
Radical prostatectomy in 2003 with PSA of 3.9. PSA slowly rose to .07 in 2023. PET scan in May, 2023 found nodules in my lungs with the largest being 1.4 cm. Needle biopsy identified it as metastatic adenocarcinoma from prostatic origin. 5 sessions of 50Gy cyberknife treatments on the 1.4 cm nodule

Dentists
Hi everyone-I am due to have CABG July/August. I have a routing check up at dentist this month. I have read somewhere of a link between teeth/gums and heart disease. What are the risks, if any? Is there any chance of dental treatment delaying the heart operation? Thanks

One month on alternative meds only
Three pluses and one negative. Breast met is gone, prostate shrunk to near normal size, nagalase dropped from 1.55 to 1.37 . The negative is PSA jumped from 14 to 22. Which is more accurate the nagalase test or the PSA?

Am I falling to pieces? Lol
Hi All, I hope everyone is doing ok. This is my second post now, since my heart attack and my stent being fitted on November 30th. In my last post I mentioned the various pains I'd been experiencing, all of which seemed quite common and other people were very reassuring. Call me in denial but when I

I purchased the FoodMarble Aire2 two weeks ago and have been logging meals and doing breath tests. Early days of course but most meals rarely go above 4 - except for one day when I experimented with 6 danish butter cookies and that scored a 6.7 after one hour! I notice that on all my readings that

Could Someone Explain The TTGIgA Test Please?
Hello! I have recently had some blood tests done due to low vitamin B12 and long term issues with iron deficiency. My GP did some tests to rule out Celiacs as a cause, and I just wondered if somebody could explain the Tissu Transglutaminase IgA test please - my result came back at 0.4 (range 0-6.9) I
