Can azathioprine cause chest pains?
Hi, I have been on azathioprine tablets mostly 75mg to 100mg for my Lupus for approximately 20 years. Have been experiencing chest pains on my left side especially after excretion. I had various tests and scans but they are all negative. I had Covid last September and had to stop taking the azathioprine

Coronary artery calcification, osteoporosis and B12 deficiency- what to do next ?
I have just been found to have coronary artery calcification incidentally when having a Lung Healthcare scan. This information was passed to my GP who wants to put me on statins (Atorvastatin 20mg daily). I have no idea of the severity or extent of the calcification, only that it was found. I don't

7 month cardiologist review done
Well I had my 7 month face to face chat with the cardiologist yesterday. I had tonnes of questions which I did email to him a month before the meeting. 1)My Question- At the point of the angiogram what condition were all the other important heart vessels in? They didn't require stents. Was that because

Ticagrelor after 12 months
I am coming up on the 1 year anniversary of my HA. I am only supposed to take the Ticagrelor for 12 months after my stent was fitted, but am now starting to worry a little. Is it OK for my GP to confirm that it is OK to stop taking it or should I try and get an appointment with a cardiologist. I would

Female. Longstanding much worsening PAF, and recently diagnosed ischaemic heart disease. Just home from hospital from an episode variously described as a heart attack and acute coronary syndrome - no idea what the difference is. I understand the AF is a separate entity that needs treating as such

Coming off of medication?
Hello, My husband (age 46) had a heart attack in December and had a stent fitted in his LAD artery. The surgery went well, all other arteries were clear, he attended the rehab programme and was coping well and was discharged. He’s on quite a lot of medication - aspirin, beta blockers, statins and ACE

Feeling dizzy during gardening
Hello fellow hearties. Quick question, when I kneel down, stand up, kneel back down, stand up etc, shuffling along to the next patch of weeding, over time I begin to feel more and more dizzy. I know this is a perfect excuse not to kneel down to do the weeding but does anyone else get the dizziness? I
