Hi, I've posted on here before, my husband had an NSTEMI in June last year and a stent fitted. Since then his recovery hasn't improved and we still haven't got a diagnosis. He is unfit to return to work and he has these episodes which are increasing in number each week.
He feels an uncomfortable pain in his chest, but not like angina, feels exhausted and it can last for 6 hours. The DRS originally thought AFIB and he's on a concoction of tablets, his pulse is now around 50 and blood pressure is low and either raise when he is in an episode.
There is no pattern to the episodes although any exercise makes him pale, breathless and uncomfortable but doesn't always trigger.
He had a loop recorder fitted before Christmas and we are waiting for results. We bought a Kardia mobile which does not show AF but the blood pressure monitor does show an abnormal rhythm.
One thing I have noticed is that his voice becomes weak and breathy, not breathless, when he is feeling unwell. Just wondering if anyone had anything similar or could give any advice.
Thank you.

I noticed with interest that you posted a very similar post in the AF Association forum and was lucky to receive some good reply’s.
I am so sorry that both of you are going through this worrying time, but I cannot see that without the results of your husbands monitoring , how you can move on to the next stage.
I would chase the results.
You say your husband is unfit to return to work, this must have come from the Drs/ heart team and is also something that you can query.
If he’s not fit for work then when will he be, and why if your not doing anything have you deemed him unfit for work, hopefully that line of questions may boost things along a bit.
Take care and I hope that your husband has a full diagnosis soon, which to me is well overdue.
My husband's voice ( Not had heart attack) started to become very croaky and breathy. I forced him t o go to the doctor who sent him to ENT. They checked his voice box with a camera and diagnosed acid reflux. Could your husband's pains be caused by his stomach? Has the GP also adjusted any of his tablets to regulate his BP?
