Hi, I had a stent fitted just over 2 years ago and have suffered on and off with Angina ever since. Apart from that I have been very healthy. For the past 3 months I have been suffering with upper back pain which gets worse the more I walk or stand up. Has anyone suffered with this. I currently take

3 years post STEMI and CA but I have an odd question
Hi everyone, Just a random question from me before I try to get a GP appointment. Over the last few weeks I’ve been getting what I can only describe as a lack of sensation in both my hands while running. All of my fingers go white, and it’s a feeling you get just before pins and needles, so a slight

Post Cabg how soon do you think i can i lie on my side?
i asked the physiological this when i was still in and she said when i liked. To start with even slight movement was unthinkable,I lay and slept absolutely still.I would dream i was stretching and wake up with my arms braced. I've been lucky because i am fairly content on a pillow slope and laying stock

Unexplained severe pains after heart attack & stent 4 wks ago
Hi, Looking for others that may have the same pain as I do! I'm a 48yr old female that had escalating symptoms (exhaustion, light headedness, hypertension) for 6 months before my heart attack. I had one stent fitted. My heart attack presented strangely apparently - I had most of the pain in my left

Clopidogrel
Due to come of clopidogrel at the beginning of September, it being a year since I had my stent. Did anyone who was in the same situation just stop them completely or did they wean themselves off. I will have a week's worth of tablets left.

Any advice?
Hi guys, sorry to be a total let down. I have cirrhosis and TIPS stent fitted 8 years ago. I have battled the booze many times and last periosd of sobriety was 19 months, at the moment it has got hold of me again and I need to stop. Getting delivery from Deliveroo of 10 cans of lager a day, its not much

Hi , I had a stent in my LAD 3 weeks , bit of a shock. I am 50 and very fit. Hereditary they think. 85% blocked. 3 weeks on and I'm progressing well. Walking a lot and cycling up to 15/20 flat low heart rate miles. Max 120 BPM. All the drugs are are needed but it's just the Beta blocker, Bisoprolol

Triple Bypass 2 years on.
I sometimes reply to the questions and experiences of others but I don't instigate threads, so this is an exception. Two years ago today, age 64, I was in surgery for triple CABG following a heart attack and one stent in 2019, and a return of some symptoms such as pressure in upper chest and awful jaw

Survivor 52 - my story
Whilst I have posted on others 'story' lines I realise that I've not said anything about my own in one place. So here goes ... In October of last year I had an angina attack, not sure what brought it on. Within a day or two I was in A&E with chest pains and unable to breathe. It passed and I was sent

Angina aggravated by cold air
In spite of getting a stent four weeks ago I'm still getting angina symptoms. Ever since my symptoms began last year I have noticed that they become more pronounced in cold air. For example today I took a long walk in summer sun and felt fine. Tonight I walked again in colder air and the symptoms reappeared

Hi my husband 51 had a heart attack, and since this has had a stent fitted with the possibility of another stent in the future. My husband likes to socialise and is now after three weeks is still smoking and binge drinking. I'm trying to support him but feel very worried that this heart attack hasn't

To monitor or have surgery?
I was recently diagnosed with an aneurysm on my internal carotid artery. The team at the Wessex Neurological Centre have told me it’s a borderline decision on whether to do surgery or monitor it and that the choice is up to me. If they proceed with surgery they would need to do an endovascular stent

Why do I keep experiencing involuntary sharp intake of breath.
Hi I am m 3 weeks post CABG and increasingly I am experiencing sudden involuntary intake of breath. I can only describe it like when a child is sobbing and then suddenly draws in breath. My Sats are all good, breathing is otherwise normal. Has anyone else had this? 🥴

Worried that my heart health is in a downward phase
Late 2019 had stent to LAD following full blood clot occlusion and heart attack (did not arrest). I was diagnosed with LVSD in a later echo and advised had EF of 40. Another echo about a year later and EF still same. Since July 23rd this year have been experiencing constant AF (all day and night without
