Lifelong chest aches & pains?
Hi, I'm at 14months post heart bypass and have had, given the difficulties accessing post-op rehab due to Covid, a pretty good recovery. Working hard on my fitness and my diet etc. However, I still get a considerable amount of chest discomfort. Aches, pains, numbness and tightness. Nothing overly serious

PCa and now bladder cancer and kidney problems.
I was diagnosed with PCa over two years ago and I remain hormone sensitive with Lupron shots, and Zytiga + p. But the last month has been terrible. Passing urine became so difficult that Mayo urologist put in a Foley catheter 30+ days ago. I don’t like it but hey, I’m not getting up to pee 4-5 x / night

Bisoprolol, Do I need it now?
I have been taking bisoprolol 1.25mg since my mild heart attack in 2013 along with Atorvastatin, Ramipril and Aspirin. I suffer from really cold hands that go white and sometimes blue in cold weather. At the time of said MI I had a stent fitted. I am reasonably fit, I cycle, play badminton and have just

Measuring pain
This is a question is for all the ladies who have had a heart bypass. I am frequently asked how painful the procedure was. Well I had my first child over 50 years ago ( not by Caesarian ) and if I could compare I would say child birth was by far the most painful. It is something still in my mind now

Hi there, I need some support. My 60 year old husband had a heart attack 6 weeks ago, had a stent fitted, and came home from hospital with a shed load of pills. Today he woke up with chest pain, although different to last one. Back in hospital, another heart attack diagnosed. He’s being transferred to

Angina problem
My husband had an angiogram over a year ago and although he had 3 blockages he was told it wasn't bad enough for a stent. Will he receive any further checks soon ?

Trans Apical TAVI op done and dusted at last!
Just thought I'd let everyone know that I've been out of hospital for a week now, after waiting 13 months and two cancellations for an urgent aortic valve replacement. Stiches due out tomorrow. I'm especially grateful to Tessie28 who warned me that even though the op is termed 'key hole' it is still

Dental surgery when on prednisone?
I have had PMR for a year and have slowly tapered from 10 mg to 4 mg prednisone. I’m still tapering very slowly. I can’t tell if my adrenal glands have kicked in again yet or not, but in general I am doing pretty well. I am now scheduled for a tooth extraction that I had been putting off because of Covid

Chest pain/pressure
Hi, I have previously suffered two HA’s and received a stent in April last year. I am really fit and regularly walk 10-12 miles a day. I also exercise with weights a couple of days a week. Over the last 2-3 weeks I’ve noticed that I’ve started getting chest pain. I suffer with GERD so can’t really distinguish

Gastric bypass
Hi, I’m new, is there anyone here who has had a gastric bypass and suffer from migraines? I did great with a few excedrine when I was younger, it would either get rid of it or take the edge off. Now my migraines are mor symptomatic and I’ve had my gastric bypass so NSAIDS are a big no. The tryptans

Covid for Christmas
Hi All, Posted two days ago about really feeling the cold post CABG (my op 10 months ago) and it making my chest ache and hurt. Well, it may also be hurting due to having just tested +ve for Covid. Seems Santa put me on the naughty list! Not felt too bad, just generally crummy the last few days but

Late Happy Christmas
I was busy enjoying Christmas Day, an event I was told in June 2020 I would not witness unless I had an urgently needed op. Well, i had that op, a CABG (3 grafts) and a Davids Procedure and i made it! So Happy Christmas (albeit late) and all the best for 2021. For those in need of that op - there are
