Covid for Christmas

Hi All,

Posted two days ago about really feeling the cold post CABG (my op 10 months ago) and it making my chest ache and hurt. Well, it may also be hurting due to having just tested +ve for Covid. Seems Santa put me on the naughty list!

Not felt too bad, just generally crummy the last few days but my chest and my scar area have really ached. Still, if this is the worst it gets I count myself lucky.

Stay safe and healthy all.

Oh bad luck, I had it too and spent 2 weeks in the spare room! Was allowed out on Christmas Eve but couldn't taste much until yesterday - fortunately the turkey for 10 only had to go around 5 of us, and there's a ham too, so no shortage of leftovers to enjoy! Get well soon.

Hi, My scar and sternum took over a year to stop aching, off and on, in a variety of situations, especially in the shower. Sorry to hear your unwell. Hope your body is fighting back and you recover quickly.

My CABG was 2.5yrs years ago and if I get a cold and a cough, it does not take long before my scar hurts, and know that something was done in that area. Your ache is probably just that but you stay safe and make sure you use 111 so they can look after you once you are registered as suffering. Good luck, stay positive, and always trust yourself - you know best and if you feel bad, you probably are and seek medical advice from the NHS - nowhere else.
