Sister back on ventilator
Hi, I'm new here but needed to get this off my chest. My sister has been in ICU since 28th January. She developed a deep wound infection about six weeks after a triple heart bypass. She was admitted to hospital for a few days but then developed sepsis. She was put on a ventilator and intubated for

Left arm pain ? Cause
Hiya just after some advise really. I had a stent fitted to my RCA for an 80% blockage found routinely from an ECG in March 2020 and whilst having angiogram they noted a degree of plaque in my left circumflex which is not my dominant artery (my RCA is the dominant one) of around 40-60% so they did a

Newly diagnosed with variant/vasospastic angina (coronary artery spasm) and worried about the future
Hi. Im 46 and had a cardiac arrest at home on 25 Jan 2021 - was in hospital for over 3 weeks but thankfully, I have recovered fully now. About 10 days after that event and after lots of tests, the consultants eventually diagnosed variant/vasospastic angina (coronary artery spasm), having seen it on ECG

Hike to Everest Base Camp anyone?
So I’m thinking of doing this as a bucket list dream - let’s say before I reach 60- I’m 54 this year. Had quadruple heart bypass 2 years ago at 51- anyone know of someone who has done altitude things post heart issue?

Heart medication
Good morning all, I had a cardiac arrest in 2017 in A&E waiting room. I was treated successfully and had the blockage cleared but no stent was inserted due to the artery being to narrow for a stent. Almost 4 years on I have now been told I am pre diabetic. I have come across some statements on Google

Wedding Day worries.
Hi all, After my heart attack at Christmas and subsequent stent insertion I am now focussed on my wedding at the start of May. I am starting to get some anxiety about the event and whether it is likely to overstress me to the point of another cardiac event on the day. I know this is irrational as I am

Using an Inhaler with cardio issues
As a few will know I have had Cardio problems since 1997, fixed with quad CABG and later stents fitted. Had several issues with breathlessness and diagnosed with HF. All of these quite well managed these days. Earlier this year just before everything kicked off I had had more breathing issues and had

Ongoing problems after CABG - impossible to get anyone to listen
Just wondering if anyone has any advice...fiancé had 3x CABG in January. He had AFib and heart flutter after op (several occasions of it and was on Amiodrone for 3 months.) An ecg he had in March showed no AFib and he was taken off the amiodrone. For the last few weeks/months he’s had “funny heart moments

Confidence
Hi, I had a heart attack 6 weeks ago and had a stent fitted. I'm 74 and usually an active, positive woman but my self confidence seems to have taken a knock. Is this normal?

33, possible angina, and very anxious.
Hi everyone. I am new to this forum. I have had lots of troubling symptoms (rapid heart rate, chest tightness) over the last few months, and an abnormal 24 hour ECG tape. I had to wait ages for a cardiology appointment so I went ahead and saw someone privately, who has referred me for a CT angio, that

Fast bpm after ecg
Hi, I had a heart attack in December had a stent fitted been doing OK but resently getting breathless and chest irritation. So had a ecg fitted for 48 hours and results show my heart is racing at some points over 120 bpm then drops to under 60bpm. So don't know what they will do. Anyone had this and

I’m looking for some reassurance please.
Four weeks ago I had quadruple heart bypass surgery, I am just at the start of week five post surgery and I’m struggling. The recovery is a lot slower and more challenging than I ever imagined. I feel permanently sick, can’t taste food, can no longer drink tea or coffee, am always tired and it takes

Problem with new oesphageal stent fitted
My husband had an oesophageal stent fitted 3 weeks ago. It has not eased or helped any of his previous symptoms, if anything he is worse. Bad cough, sick every day, nothing stays down, on soup and custard only. Losing weight, lethargic, had an infection and on 7 days of antibiotics which has helped

Hi, I’m feeling scared at the moment. I had a stent fitted in November after suddenly developing unstable angina in October. Apparently I had a mild heart attack.
