How many periods, length of time? Between ivf cycles?
Hi, I had a round of IVF in April and a fresh embryo transfere that did not implant. I have 2 embryos of low grade (trying not to give too much attention to grade) that are frozen. I have had one period, after the 2 week wait. And have just ovulated. My clinic have said I am now allowed a double transfere

Ovulation induction after 2 failed ivf
I have had 2 failed ivf.No money again to do another one. Hubby and I are planning to go for ovulation induction, at least that is what we can afford now. Please is it ok to go for ovulation induction after 2 failed ivf?

Salpingectomy / Hydrosalpinx?
I (23F) had a laparoscopy 2 years ago where they found out I had a blocked fallopian tube. The pain in that side has been getting worse ever since then, and recently found out it was a large hydrosalpinx. As I’ve never had any infections/PID, they are assuming it’s because of endo growing in my tube

Inappropriate comment by my dad
Yesterday I went to my parent's house and I mentioned to my dad that I thought that I was pregnant, but until Tuesday it was not 100% sure. He was happy, but then we were talking a bit about IVF, and he started saying that he was sure I was going to get it because I am very stubborn and when I have a

Mild IVF and embryo batching
hello, I was wondering if anyone had tried mild IVF, what was the reason and outcome? Im 40 with low ovarian reserve, I have a history of recurrent pregnancy loss, I’m currently doing embryo batching and about to start my second round of b2b ivf rounds. We collected 6 eggs, 5 fertilised and 5 D3 embryos

Extra testing during NHS IVF treatment
If you were to have extra tests done (i.e NK cell testing, which the NHS doesn't do) whilst technically under NHS funded IVF treatment (though you were on a break from that after yet another recurrant miscarriage), would that be okay? It wouldn't mean you'd potentially lose your funding? I don't know

Aspirin or Clexane?
I'm about to start my second IVF cycle with donor eggs after a failed cycle last month.I don't have periods so the only medication I have been prescribed are Progynova, Cyclogest and aspirin. The regime is almost the same as last time apart from my Progynova has been increase from 4 to 6 tablets a day

getting pregnant 43-44
Hi ladies, just after some advice & stories. I’m unsure what to do next, but I am desperate to have another baby to complete our family. After doing what should have been our final round, I am not ok with that. I’m 43. Had my son at 36 via IVF in 2016 with donor sperm due to my husband having Sertoli

So when I had my egg retrieval, I got 5 eggs, 3 fertilised and only 1 made it to day 5, which has been transferred But I've got 7 more days left before I can test ,I can't stop looking at the photo I have of my "little bean" and feel so attached to it already! This is my first go at ivf and I really

Sensitive, she is here 💕
My precious, perfect girl was safely delivered by C section last Friday and we were discharged after just one night in hospital. After all the pain we have been through (miscarriage of twins, cancelled FET, chemical pregnancy, failed FET), I still can’t believe she is real. We are absolutely in love

Transfer 6- I must be insane
Yes so we’re going through round 6 with DE. I’m wondering what the hell I’m doing at the moment. Just had a monitoring scan and my lining is at 9.3 which is the thickest it’s ever been, but for the first time ever it’s not triple layered. The first time in 6 transfers and goodness knows how many mock

Self funding advice
Hi everyone looking for advice again.Unfortunately my 4th transfer hasn't worked didn't make it to 2 weeks as often happens. I'm trying to plan next steps to ease the pain slightly. I'm 42 and have had 2 full cycles 1st one didn't do so well with IVF second much better fertilisation rate with ICSI.

Failed Back Surgery
In 2017 I had a Laminectomy for Severe Spinal Stenosis in L3/4/5. The operation was successful and for 3/4 months I was completely pain free for the first time in years! In 2018 I had a bad fall and this resulted in having a Rotator Cuff Repair which was successful but by now my spinal pain was back

Travel advice re Zika & pregnancy / IVF
Hi all, I was wondering if anybody had been given specific travel advice from their Dr to not travel to certain destinations due to Zika risk? My Fertility Dr (not very helpfully) didn't have a view and said to check travel sites. I have seen online that some destinations (e.g. Maldives, Caribbean

5 week scan post IVF update
Hi there, I am currently 5 weeks + 2 days after a successful FET. I had a scan today at my EPU because I have a history of ectopics. The sonographer could only see a tiny blob on the scan which they have taken as enough to rule out an ectopic but not enough to say whether it's viable. I know this is

Low Blastocyst rate

Suggestions for further testing
Hi all Have been silently reading posts for sometime now. Apologies for the long post in advance.. My story in short. Diagnosed with endometriosis and went through laproscopy in 2021. AMH significantly reduced. Was advised not to go for ivf with own eggs due to low AMH plus needed PGTA for a cardiac

Egg retrieval
Hello, I am about to start IVF for the first time, and I am very anxious about the whole process. I am worried about the egg retrieval procedure in particular, and just wondered how you felt on waking up after the procedure? Many thanks
