Review appointment and period post failed cycle
we’ve just had our review appointment and have been told that they wouldn’t change anything to the protocol if we decided to go again. When I questioned my early (6 day) bleeding post transfer and whether this would be a progesterone problem, she said it was very unlikely (note not a definite no)… I

Periods delayed after steroid injections
Hi,Has anyone had the experience of their periods being delayed after having steroid injections. If so, for how long? I'm a week late. They haven't been this late in a long while. I have an IVF consultation next month so I'm worried they won't return Thanks

Prepping for Round 2
Hello ladies! I’m planning to start a second IVF cycle in January (when I’ll turn age 40!) and feeling hopeful. First cycle was BFN with short protocol so we are trying long protocol this time with Nafarelin (Synarel) nasal spray and Menopur. Has anyone had luck with this combo? Also we had the option

Hi, this is my first post. I am 41 years old and have been for initial appointment regarding IVF on NHS. I have no children and 1 miscarriage at 16 weeks 2 years ago. At the appointment I was around 5 days post ovulation and my scan showed that my uterine lining was only 6mm so was on the thin side.

irrationally annoyed I missed my chance this month!
Hello, Just sharing as I feel really angry at myself and my husband I annoyed at me for not responding calmly. Also noting that I don’t want to come across insensitive as I’m well aware there are far greater pains and challenges people on this forum are facing. Sorry that I’m being so irrationally

When life gives you lemons...
So after a few horrendous years of infertility and another IVF failure pre-Christmas, my husband had a chat with me and said I need to stop "hiding away" and need to start socialising again and getting a bit of the "old me", the "pre-infertility me", the "pre-IVF me" back. I realised he was right. I've

Buserelin Shortage - Any recommendations?
Hi all, We are due to start our final round of IVF with the NSH in the new year. Have been recommended Buserelin but there is a national shortage. Drs seem keen for us to use this as responses weren’t great in previous cycles. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to source Buserelin? I have

Feeling seriously deflated and loss of hope
Hi all I'm feeling seriously like I will never ever have my own family. I just seem to invite problems every step of the way. Like I'm a magnet. We were hoping to do our transfer (last own embryo) before Christmas and I had to cancel the day before the transfer due to personal circumstances. This was

Slow growing blastocysts
hello all, I have a question for any IVF ladies out there. Has anyone ever had slow growing, small ( size 1 or 2) or poorer quality blastocysts ( bb bc cb cc etc) on day 5 in a cycle but then gone on to have faster growing, expanded, better quality in the next cycle? Do you think it’s possible for

still struggling - does it get easier?
we found out around 7 years ago that we were unable to have children with ivf also not being an option for us. For a long time I had come to terms with that and my husband and I have a great life and have been positive about what this means for us. however over recent months the sadness of the situation

Thickness of lining
Unfortunately my second IVF cycle failed recently with what our clinic graded as a 'top quality' embryo. I was worried that my lining was too thin at 7mm, but they weren't concerned and went ahead. I've read online that the optimal is 8-10mm, and I understand some clinics have a cut off of 8mm before

Another BFN (trying for a sibling) and next steps
Firstly thanks everyone for sharing and responding, it honestly means the world to me to know you're all there, as at times I've felt so alone on this journey ❤️ I've lost count of the number of people (friends, family, doctors and close colleagues) who have said to me after every subsequent failed round

IVF App
What are some of the features you would like to see included in an app around IVF? When I was going through IVF I couldn’t find an app that really explained or helped me through my treatment. I used google a lot and made my own planners and schedules that were useful for me.

IVF pregnancy - did you give birth early?
Hi, I'm currently 12 weeks and 2 days pregnant. When I went for my 12 week scan I was advised that IVF pregnancies don't go over and are usually induced early, I wasn't aware of this and although I understand there was reasons why I wondered if people could tell me their experience. How early was your

Need mental help or support about sharing the ivf procedure with parents and in laws
I'm Indian 36+ ttc since 2016 and moved to UK in 2019. 2 iui + 1ivf icsi FET failure. My parents torture me to the core to share all the details of my process and everytime I tell them they have no rights to ask and I'm not obliged to tell, they start up their drama of being silent. Already my childhood

Clinic recommendations for low AMH/ poor reaction to stimms / recurrent miscarriage
Hi everyone I’ve just finished my 3rd IVF cycle this week and we are waiting to see if our 1 embryo will make it to blastocyst. I have low AMH (6.2pmol or 0.86ng) and been having poor reaction to stimms. So far we haven’t got any frozen embryos as we are PGT-A testing them due to recurrent miscarriages

reoccurrent miscarriage & endo
Hi all. I had a laparoscopy last week, I was lucky as it was only one month after suspecting I could have endo. Although I think it was the cause of my 6 miscarriages and 2 failed ivf attempts. I’m feeling pretty enraged that not one of the 5 fertility doctors I’ve seen suggested it could be endo, even
