They have just left you to bleed all the time? That is horrible! You must feel absolutely wretched 😕.

I use to bleed significantly more than I didn't. This included periods of extremely heavy bleeding with large clots. I was prescribed medication for it (Mefenamic Acid, which is also for pain). When that didn't work I was prescribed more medication (Tramexamic Acid). I initially thought it wasn't helping as it took a couple of months to kick in (I was prescribed it daily rather than just for normal cycle times because I bled so often and even when I wasn't bleeding I frequently had breakthrough bleeding). For this reason I did discuss some other options with my GP, which included a D&C or, worse case scenario, a hysterectomy. I appreciate this will be something you want to avoid if trying to conceive. My mother's side of the family, including her, have a history of hemorrhaging. In addition, I had to have my iron monitored and ended up having an IV infusion.

You are within your rights to ask your GP for a second referral to another gynaecology team for a second opinion. If asked, your GP may be able to offer medication that might help in the meantime. It isn't healthy to bleed all the time and it could potentially lead to other issues if left unaddressed. In addition, I suggest checking the side effects of low iron and discussing this with your GP as well if you have any. They can have your iron levels checked with a simple blood test.

I can not remark on how trying to actively conceive might affect any treatments. It may be that you need to address your bleeding first. As you suggest, if you are bleeding all the time it must have an impact on whether or not you even can conceive at this time.

I wish you luck in finding the right solution for you.

I’m the same: although not as bad. I have a heavy 7/8 days period then another 7/8 days of brown bleeding. It’s awful. I have the coil. Didn’t help: now they have given me the mini pill to see whether it helps. I’m so sick of wearing pads and this never ending. I have two good weeks and then bam I get all the pains sickness everything tht comes with endo back. I hope u manage to find a solution. Bless ya. X
