Birth Control/ unprotected sex

So I've started the birth control pill for the first time and I've been taking it for 2 weeks and 3 days . I had unprotected sex and he did it inside me. I've taken the pill every single day at the exact same time and I've heard that it takes 7 days for the pill to work effectively. I'm just a bit worried I need to re confirmation that I am safe from pregnancy

You have taken it for more than 7 days consistently so yes you are protected.
