Possible endo (or is it just IBS?)
I have some odd symptoms and just don’t know if they’re endo or if they’re IBS. I have coeliac disease also so don’t want to assume it’s endo. Here are some of my symptoms: Frequent pelvic pain (low abdominal ache & sometimes pinching pains either side where I imagine my ovaries are) Worse constipation

Alternatives to the pill for managing pcos?
Hi, I’m 26 and I was diagnosed with pcos in December 2021, I have high testosterone, high prolactin and multiple follicles on my ovaries. This was confirmed privately and I was referred back to my GP who keeps pushing for me to go on the pill. I was on the pill for 6 years until July last year when

Follow-up post lap appointment
So basically my consultant has told me not only did he remove a large amount of endometriosis and then showed me the pictures of it all, he also found while in there that I have Adenomyosis - I have never heard of this before today! Feeling very upset and confused as he told me it can reduce fertility

Endo referral
Hi I've been going through a diagnosis for about 12 months and I was about to be referred to the gynaecologist but my GP wants me to try some treatments first such as painkillers or hormones. I was on the pill when I was 17 for a few years and I didn't get on with it and I really don't want to go back

Advice Please!!
Hi All, I’ve had a meeting with my gynae consultant today. After having the diagnostic 2 years ago, my periods have come back with vengeance. I’m either 10 days twice a month or nothing at all ( currently haven’t had one for 40+ days yet still getting immense pain). She scanned me and basically said

Birth control
Hello everyone. So I recently got birth control. I was told to start it the Sunday after I started my period. So I got my period (I think) but it only lasted a day. I started the birth control and I’m on say 3 and I have severe cramps. Like as if I would be on my period. I’m not sure what it is. Is this

Taking hormone pills with Hashimotos
I’ve always avoided the contraceptive pill with my thyroid issue, I didn’t feel it was the right thing to do. I recently had an appointment with an endocrinologist, due to chronic insomnia, which I suspect is due to my low cortisol and low DHEA. She hasn’t confirmed as yet her proposed treatment plan

Support for teenage sufferer
I’m 18, and began having problems with periods all of a sudden. In a house full of pcos warriors I was the only one with ‘normal periods’ until one cycle lasted for just under 8 weeks. Heavy bleeding, clots, soiling school chairs, missing lessons, consipation, sleepless nights and pain… every time I

Normal tsh Low T4
Hi guys! I have always had a bit of an odd thyroid tbh. It’s done what I’m told it cant, but there you go. Years ago I remember just before going into surgery they found my thyroid to be under active. Never treated. I think it went back to normal. About 5 years later it went over active. Never treated

Desogestral experiences
I’m on day 22 of starting Desogestral (mini pill) and my pain is just as bad. I have stage 3 endo and awaiting a third laparoscopy. I am bleeding heavier than without being on the pill and just feeling rubbish. I could literally sleep anywhere right now, is this normal? I’m in two minds about stopping

I missed one day of the degestorol pill by mistake and I've been in agony for 8 days now. Period from just like a year ago before I went on then progesterone only pill. Horrendous moods and the pains that made me feel something was wrong in the first place. ....lightning crotch, hip pain, such bad lower

T3 and DIO2 gene.
Hello folks! I have the following doubt: Does FT3 get lower in ALL patients on Levo alone, or just in a special sub-group? In other words, does the fact of taking the pill lower the Ft3 level, so that EVERYONE ends up with a lower t3 than in healthy individuals? Thanks!!

Contraceptive Pill ( mini pill) or surgery.
Hi ladies, In November 2021, I had a laparscorpy surgery removal of left ovary cyst. Two weeks after surgery I had a MRI scan. On Monday 28th February 2022, I had a consultation appointment call from a gynecologist consultant. Firstly she called me an hour late, findings from the laparscorpy surgery
