First ever phlebitis diagnosis...a few questions
6 days ago, I had a tenderness to the side of my right calf. This has got better, but I have a different red patch, which is very tender, and you can see a line going round from the patch (which is just above my inner ankle) to the top of my foot. It's very painful to walk. So I got an urgent appt

Can birth control mask cervical cancer symptoms?
Hi, I’ve been on birth control for 3 years, Microgynon 30 to be specific. I was wondering if the pill can hide symptoms of cervical cancer. On the two last weeks of my active pills I experienced light cramping (which I never had with my other packs) and am a little paranoid and so wanted some information

Combined pill severely affecting mood
Hi there, I am trying to find a combined pill which doesn’t severely affect my mood - any advice? So far I’ve tried Yasmin and Millinette and both have led to low mood and severe anxiety. I only took Yasmin for a week and persevered with Millinet for 3/4 weeks. I’m hoping to run pills back to back

Don’t know if I should come off the pill?
Hello everyone, So i’ve been on Microgynon 30 for 3 years now. I’m not sexually active and just been paranoid about side effects long term, like been getting a bit of abdominal pain when on the third week of my pack (that feeling like you’re about to get your period)which I usually don’t get. Would

Are any of you on both the rod "implant" and the combined pill?
Hello all! This could be a long story but few months ago my blood pressure was high each time I saw my GP they decided to take me off the combined pill (I already have implant in my arm its just over a year old). Using two methods have helped my flares remain at bay. When they took me off combined

Pain relief advice
Hi, I had a laprocospy in November 2022. Since then I have had a miscarriage and been really struggling with ongoing severe pain and swelling. Awaiting a further laprocospy but this could be 12-18 months before I get a date. I have been contemplating going privately or trying GnRh injections until I

Possible phlebitis on birth control worried
I've been on birth control for about 10 years....I chose to go on it, as I had the most crippling anxiety and it took a while to figure it was my hormones causing it.After a few years, I started having very heavy periods with clots, and I was given a hysteroscopy. They only found that my womb was slightly

Dienogest?
I've finally seen a specialist and he's told me I haven't got deep infiltrating endo as it's not showing up on scans but I could have mild so has put me onto the list for surgery (which is a relief) but he also wants me to start dienogest. I've never mentally reacted well to birth control but was willing

Hello ladies, nice to be here - this is my first post! I have just recently been diagnosed with endometriosis, physically it doesn’t look bad, just my womb is stuck to my uterus or something and there no scarring or anything like that, but they have found a very teeny tiny cyst in my left ovary. Because

Hi, sorry for the long post in advance. Estrogen vs ADT?
I've read 5 recent papers that discuss the use of estrogen as an alternative treatment to ADT (Lupron, etc.). The new data looks very favorable. A bit of history. Huggins discovered this effect around 1941-44, and he found that high doses of estrogen (estradiol) efficiently castrated men, which

Super vitamins
I cannot believe it, I have just come across a super new vitamin pill costing between 149 pounds sterling up to over seven hundred pounds for 180 days supply. Its main asset is that it is contained in rather an attractive copper pill box. The pill has turmeric, vitamin D, vitamin K etc etc and presumably
