Birth control or no birth control after excision surgery.

Hi, I'm 4 days from my 2nd excision surgery I had my 1st nearly 3 years ago where they done ablation so my symptoms only got worse this time it was excision I don't have follow up for 3 months but I'm aware it was removed from utersacral ligaments and somewhere else. My discharge says to resume taking Cerezatte (mini pill) to stop reoccurrence.

I've not been on any birth control for years, I've managed with pain relief and tranxemic acid, and luckily my periods although heavy have only lasted 2-3 days, but my main symptom was back pain (also have suspected adenomyosis)

So does birth control actually stop endo growing?

Or does it just mask the symptoms?

Anyone not taking birth control what stage was your endo?
